Expressions

The expressiveness of the characters in “Transiruby” during conversations had great reviews, so naturally we’ve done the same for Fairune 3. The drawings are a little smaller compared to Transiruby, but I think we’ve still managed to keep the characters looking vibrant.

The character expressions are inspired by overseas CG cartoons for both titles. Japanese animations, for better or worse, tend to like using subtle expressions that are natural looking. Overseas cartoons however use exaggerated expressions often, and I find that refreshing; there is a lot to learn from them. The expressions also serve to enhance nuances to dialog that otherwise could be missed, making it easier to know the characters' personalities better.

Just to let you know, Motchmo and Chromos have expressions like this. I’ll be adding lots of events where you get to see these in use, so I hope you look forward to it!
