Early Access Update 1 is now live. This update is built entirely on player feedback from our first week.
🎮 CAMERA — Scout Mode [NEW]
Hold R1 to activate Scout Mode. The camera zooms out and dangerous terrain below your character is highlighted in red using a post-process visualization. Use this before jumping across cliffs to plan your route safely.
Scout Mode is disabled during story events.
🔘 CONTROLS — Full Button Remapping [NEW]
Seven core actions can now be freely remapped across ten buttons:

Crouch (Hold Toggle) / Facility Menu (Press)

Swap-based system: selecting an occupied button swaps the two functions. Selecting an unoccupied button assigns directly. No duplicate assignments possible. Reset to default is available in Options.
🔘 CONTROLS — Confirm/Cancel Switch
Existing A/B swap for Confirm and Cancel remains unchanged.
This setting is independent from action remapping above.
⚙️ UX — Options Screen
Closing the Options screen with Cancel while changes were pending previously discarded them without warning. Now a confirmation prompt appears if unsaved changes exist.
🐗 BALANCE — Early Game Enemies
Boar behavior has been reworked. Previously, boars used an advanced AI pattern with unpredictable movement, making them disproportionately difficult for a first encounter. They now use standard animal behavior patterns
🧱 TUTORIAL — Fall Recovery Guide [NEW]
When you fall from a dangerous height, your equipment's slow-fall effect activates. During this slow-fall, a
guide prompt appears: push the stick toward the wall and press Jump to climb back up. This teaches the timing of EXELIO's unique parkour recovery system. The guide appears until you've successfully recovered three times.
🔭 TUTORIAL — Scout Mode Introduction [NEW]
After your first successful fall recovery, Scout Mode activates automatically to show you the danger
visualization. A message explains that you can use R1 (hold) at any time to preview dangerous areas.
🐛 BUG FIX — Early Mission Dialogue
After collecting items from the Landing Pod, Aria instructs the player to equip them. However, the related mission was completing regardless of equipment status, causing Aria's dialogue to remain stuck on "Please equip your gear" even though the game allowed progression. While this did not block progress, it caused unnecessary confusion. Fixed so that equipping the item now correctly advances Aria's dialogue.
