Everwind changes
We've been hard at work expanding the world of Everwind, and with the release of The First Ascent drawing near, we wanted to share with you a bit more about the massive haul of content that will be included in this first major update for our game, let's crack straight into it!
Here's what you can expect:
New Enemies
Besides the previously discussed Steamer Colossus Mech, and Carnivorous Plant, we've introduced a variety of new creatures to challenge you.
Vespers, Vesper Larvas, Snapblooms and Scorpiors
X-44R The Scrapper - A neutral monster who roams the Rotten biome.
Damaged Steamer - This enemy got a small rework
Capybara Merchant - A rare, secret encounter. Can you find him?
New Items and Tools
The Lantern - A highly requested item that can be equipped in your off-hand to illuminate the darkness. There are multiple variants available, depending on which materials you use for crafting.
Ladders - You know what a ladder is for
Moisture Collector - A new station for passive water collection
Charred Wood - A new type of wood for rafting and building
Pirate Furniture Set - A new set of decor inspired by the pirates found at the desert's water level.
New Resources - Collected primarily from the new enemies. Many of the newly added resources will be used to craft new items and blocks.

New Bow Modifiers
New Bow Runes - To customize your play style.
New Gear
New Unique Items - Powerful new unique weapons and accessories scattered throughout the world. Additionally, old uniques had their drop rates adjusted.
New Mage Clothes - Special attire for magic users that provides powerful modifiers and scales significantly with upgrades.
Mechanics & Quality of Life
Third Person Perspective leaning - A new feature allowing players to lean up or down in third-person view. This improves aiming at mobs above or below you.
More Character Customization options - New tattoos, markings, and scars.
Proximity Crafting Management - You will be able to toggle specific chests on or off for proximity crafting.
Expanded Proximity Crafting - Now compatible with more stations.
Tutorial Improvements - Several steps have been reworked for a smoother onboarding experience.
World Generation, Balance & Exploration
Bosses & Structures - We’ve increased the boss spawn ratio and added new structures, including new mines, buried treasure chests, and Pirate Galleons.
Starting Area - The starting tower and the starting biome have both been updated.
Caves - We added a few new objects to caves and updated the way they’re generated..
The Future - We are currently working on further solutions to make tracking down bosses even easier.
Note: Keep an eye out for the new Galleons and buried chests while exploring the updated starting island!
