Another week, another update!

We continue to fix the issues that have been addressed by the community, since the beginning of the Early Access launch.

Additionally, there are several improvements that we're currently working on, however these are not quite ready yet to be rolled out, namely

  • Crafting from nearby chests - It's complete and currently going through testing to ensure proper funcionality.

  • Block rotation when building - Work on this feature will be completed soon. It should address the current pain of trying to place blocks just right in your ship designs.

  • Waypoint system - This one is also complete and is currently going through bug fixing.

Below you can find a full list of changes, fixes and adjustments that are making their way to the game with this update:

🎮 Gameplay

  • You can now name chests - a text field is now available in the container UI. Chest names are displayed above them when using a compass

  • Talent Renewal Potion that allows you to reset your skill tree is now more accessible - it appears more frequently in merchants’ shops and can also drop from Elite/Legendary enemies (low chance)

  • Shock Blast rune can no longer be applied to gloves

  • Updated Max Sprint modifier - it now correctly increases the maximum speed value on new items

  • Improved rune drop balance - higher-tier runes can now drop at lower levels than before

  • Recipes for Pyrite, Gold, and Ancient Metal ingots are now obtainable in-game

  • Spellbook balance update - some spellbooks now have more charges, others have reduced usage cost; overall, each spellbook can now be used more times

  • Balanced resource drops from blocks - they now return the same amount of resources required to craft them

  • Removed the possibility of obtaining Master Tools - they will be reintroduced later during Early Access alongside full Master content

  • Adjusted and fixed enemy/animal resistances - incorrect values were previously shown in the compendium

  • Updated resources dropped by Bronze Thumper, Daggers and Sword in processing station

  • Updated Caged Pipe recipe - now requires planks and rope instead of a full plank block

  • Picking up spiderwebs now grants a spiderweb item

  • Adjusted required altitudes for saplings - some values were incorrect and have been fixed

  • Wood Hatcher recipe now spawns in the first sub-altitude (below 250 blocks) - previously it incorrectly spawned above 1000 blocks

  • Top Secret Capybara item now correctly spawns in chests on special (water) islands

  • Axe animation changes

⚙️ Quality of Life

  • Updated tutorial trigger for blocks - it now activates when placing a block instead of destroying one, preventing confusion

  • Additional Island Core UI improvements - added current level display and visual tweaks

  • Stick block can now be picked up using interaction (default: E), making it easier to use as scaffolding - also it has lower durability

🌐 Multiplayer & Networking

  • Fixed multiple issues where clients couldn’t connect to the host (e.g., when the host was flying a large, complex ship)

  • Items dropped on a flying ship by a client now spawn in the correct location

  • In multiplayer, clients no longer lose double stamina when performing a parry

🛠️ Fixes & Exploits

  • Improved save/backup system - also fixed an issue where some save slots didn’t appear in the world list after the last hotfix (Note: corrupted files are still hidden to prevent progress loss until they can be repaired)

  • Removed unfinished weapon recipes that were not meant to be available

  • Fixed a crash when leaving an island area

  • Fixed an issue where flying ships could get stuck in regular islands due to low FPS/lag

  • Optimized dropped items - they should no longer cause FPS drops

  • Valve can now be crafted properly (previously unavailable despite having resources)

  • Fixed a crash when destroying specific objects on Village islands

  • Ship blocks no longer disappear when out of player view

  • Fixed an issue where Wraith Lord wouldn’t attack players if stunned during its starting animation

  • Updated Villager SFX - they no longer use Mortivar hit sounds

  • Minor fixes for obtaining block recipes

  • Fixed an issue where spellbook attacks did not grant XP

  • Fixed shield animations - now properly stop in water and no longer flicker after exiting cockpit mode

  • Fixed player shadow animations - now correctly display directional attacks and pickup animations

  • Golem SFX are now correctly assigned to audio sliders

  • After sorting inventory, items no longer appear as if they were just picked up

  • Fixed Sewing Machine collision

  • Spacebar no longer triggers sorting or inventory actions after clicking UI elements with the cursor

  • Added opening/closing SFX to Wooden Wardrobe and Double Wooden Wardrobe
