Cowboys, we appreciate that you’ve moseyed over to check out our game. By blending roguelike dungeon crawler with an open world time loop, we’re really trying to do something that hasn’t been done before.

Our plan is to launch the game in early access next year. There’s still a lot to make so we’d like your opinions and feedback.

Arcade Bosses

At the start of the game, a mysterious gang kidnaps your daughter. They kill you, but you respawn 10 years later. She was taken into the giant pillar and inside, you find a winding maze in an abandoned gold mine.

This makes up the first dungeon of the game. At the end of a dungeon, you’ll encounter one of the gang members. Through a peculiar transformation, they turn into a suped up bossfight that evokes a classic arcade game. We revealed Long Arms in the initial trailer.

Long Arms isn’t just based on Snake, though. Each boss mixes some sort of external theme with an arcade game. In his intro, you can see that he sits on a wooden throne as the King of the Gnomes. Those gnomes prepare him with caramel and a maraschino cherry to lure the enormous underground serpent.

Another boss we’re working on is a bit more flamboyant. Flamenco is Bantonio Anderas’ long-lost brother. Born to a musical family and bound to music itself - the Pillar twisted his mind and now he plays forever.

Fitting for a boss based on dancing arcade games. You'll need to avoid avoid a crescendo of arrow pads and get past Flamenco's dancing troupe to win.

What classic arcade game would make a good boss?

What theme could we mix it together with?
