Enter the Chronosphere changes
Good morning! Enter the Chronosphere is now live in early access.
We know a lot of people have been waiting for this. Big moment for the team too, but by no means the end of the road. EA is just one step towards the full game.
We will be continuing regular updates through EA. Leave us any feedback via Discord, Steam Discussions and (for our Chinese players) QQ.
We’ve picked a low price point for EA, and are also offering a launch discount and inclusion in bundles.
If you’re enjoying the game, please leave us a review.
What’s new in EA?
Transferring demo progress
Your progress from the demo (missions, unlocks, irregular spheres) will be retained.
When you first play the game you will see the new story intro and first mission, but after that you’ll be right back to where you left off.
If you prefer to start over, you can “reset progress” from the options.
Lillypilly
The coolest crewmember and the only one with the password to update the crew bios. Can outmanoeuvre enemies with her tongue and does, frequently.
“Nothing is without value if it annoys somebody.”
Heart of the Chronosphere
Introducing the Heart of the Chronosphere, the final opponent at the end of a run.
Rexogenus had some problems so we’ve put taken him out of the game for now for a rework, but keep an eye on updates because he will be back!
Minibosses
All minibosses have received some love, with gameplay tuning and visual reworks. We’ve also added some entirely new bosses (there is a new upper hemisphere boss—no spoilers here though).
Codex
You now have access to a full catalogue of enemies, weapons, gadgets and gear you’ve encountered.
For all you lore-heads, the codex also features a “Galactic” tab that documents the larger universe. Expect more content here in future!
Weapon mastery
Each weapon is now compatible with three unique mods. They can unlocked by completing specific challenges.
These can be equipped in the “Idealizer” mod station.
Bellusect
Everyone’s favourite bug-infested hellhole!
If you’ve been playing for a while you might remember this biome from an earlier playtest. It’s been completely reworked and, and now it’s back!
Including a new miniboss.
Tactics and irregular spheres
All irregular spheres now offer a unique tactic as a reward. Feast your eyes on this tactic selection:
You’ll need to beat all 25 irregular spheres to unlock these. At least one person has actually done this already.
If you beat one in the demo and did not get a tactic, you will get it when you launch the early access release. Thank you for your patience!
Early access roadmap
Here’s a graphic of what we’ve planned for early access.
We’re keeping the plan flexible because we want to respond to your requests and feedback.
However, read on for a bit more on our first update.
First content update!
In the next few weeks you can expect our first content update.
Biome eras
“Biome eras” are unlockable challenge increases for an entire biome. These will be added for the five existing biomes: Outerback, Molemines, Warmonkeys, Clockwork and Bellusect.
This means a generally a tougher experience with bigger and badder enemies, as well as more weapons to unlock in each biome.
Hunters
A new class of elite enemy who can show up during a run and pursue you.
More stuff
More things I want to tell you… But you’ll have to wait for the update!
