What changed

  • Balance
  • UI and audio
  • Maps
  • Gameplay
changedIn sum, the demo will now end after Chapter 2 - but it will contain many more exciting things in the shorter duration! (Trust us. It's true.)
changedSome of the less-secret, but still exciting things are : an additional CG, so many UI updates, various effects & background adjustments, and that promised taste of Chaos Mode.
changedWe have now implemented ~50 buffs for Chaos Mode, the roguelite version of the game, and are continuing to refine the first map for its inclusion in the demo.
addedWe're quite excited about this other play mode. We can't stop making new buffs. Well, we can, but when we do that, we accidentally make new special enemies, and additional bosses instead. Oh, and a barrier system, for blocking damage on-demand...
addedAnd don't you know it... Chaos Mode has its own special version, which includes unlocking new buffs, choosing Permanent Buffs, and culling your options with Banned Buffs.

It's that time again. Yes, that's right. Today, the two of us bring you a brief update on our development progress.

  1. We have restructured our introduction, and are continuing to make our demo more "efficient."

As a result of shortening our first mega-scene, we realized it would be good to rearrange some other parts of our demo as well.

In sum, the demo will now end after Chapter 2 - but it will contain many more exciting things in the shorter duration! (Trust us. It's true.)

Some of the less-secret, but still exciting things are: an additional CG, so many UI updates, various effects & background adjustments, and that promised taste of Chaos Mode.

The demo is down for now, while we complete these changes. (audience awws) However, we aim to reupload it in January or so. It should feel quite different, so, when the time comes... We hope you'll give it another spin.

  1. We have now implemented ~50 buffs for Chaos Mode, the roguelite version of the game, and are continuing to refine the first map for its inclusion in the demo.

We're quite excited about this other play mode. We can't stop making new buffs. Well, we can, but when we do that, we accidentally make new special enemies, and additional bosses instead. Oh, and a barrier system, for blocking damage on-demand...

  1. We have restructured Story Mode's Relic unlocks to be a simple skill tree instead of a linear unlock.

And don't you know it... Chaos Mode has its own special version, which includes unlocking new buffs, choosing Permanent Buffs, and culling your options with Banned Buffs.

That's it for now. As always, we've kept it very general... But we're hard at work every day, doing what we love.

We hope to see you in December, for the next progress update - and some special news! (Possibly related to a certain tsundere grim reaper...)
