Introducing Liberated Regions
Steam post image Amber Coast — The Forgotten and Abandoned Coast
A coastal area at the western end of the Valdorion Peninsula.
Once a prosperous frontier domain under House Ambertail. But thirty years ago, the beasts displaced by the elves' opening of the sea routes overran this land. House Ambertail fled to Goldenhaven, abandoning its people. The land, left without a lord, fell to the beasts.
Since then, deserted land has been reduced to a dumping ground where neighboring lords cast out their criminals.
To Eslyn Ambertail, Amber Coast — her hometown — was a place she knew only from stories. When you and Eslyn arrive in this forgotten land after escaping Goldenhaven, time begins to move again in Amber Coast.
Final Destination of the Abandoned
One of the outer entryways into Amber Coast.
A desolate beach littered with shipwreck remains, the bodies of vagabonds washed ashore, and lost luggage half-buried in the sand. The final destination where banished criminals take their last steps — a place from which almost no one returns alive.
Lair of Greedy Breeders
A Bari nest near the village ruins.
The burrow, shaped from mud and mucus, is packed with newly laid eggs. The Nannies guarding them lunge savagely at any intruder.
Eslyn was told by her parents that the true cause behind House Ambertail's flight was the Pitmother — the colossal matriarch of the Bari.
Resting Place of Sunken Treasures
A place where countless ships drifted ashore and ran aground. The best location on Amber Coast — and the merfolk were the first to claim it.
The merfolk are vicious, powerful, and above all, greedy. They dragged everything the humans left behind back to their lair. Among those treasures lie heirlooms of House Ambertail, lost when they fled thirty years ago.
The Deepest Mudflat, Reduced to Wilderness
The most desolate stretch of coastline on Amber Coast, where creatures driven out by the power struggles between the merfolk and the Bari have gathered.
Once a pirate hideout. When the beasts overran the domain, the pirates vanished — leaving only their decaying docks haunting the mudflats.
Beneath the mudflat lurk things that are neither human nor beast.
Towerstead — A Magical City Under Siege
A city on the eastern side of the Valdorion Peninsula, centered around the Tower of Enlightenment and once ruled by Veritas Academy — the cradle of mages.
Canals crossed the city, and mages drew from the mana of the aether springs to bring prosperity and stability. In return for protection, they shared their research with House Harborwell.
But three years ago, it was here — at Red Anchor Harbor — that the elf Bella first set foot on this continent. The dawn slaughter, the Corpse Flowers, the silver blood — all of it filled the harbor town. The city is filled with rain, fog, and the corpses of the slaughtered.
Steam post image The Harbor on the Day of the Slaughter
The place where Bella first came ashore. In the predawn hours, while the world was still asleep, she stalked through the quiet streets, slaughtering the slumbering.
Since that day, time has stopped in the harbor. Corpse Flowers bloom throughout the streets, silver blood lies congealed along the roads like spilled gore, and the rain soaks unextinguished embers and soot.
Valdemar Harborwell, the Grand Lord of Goldenhaven, arrived with his knights to stop the slaughter — but even he met a death so brutal that no intact remains were left to bury. Although Bella has left, the army of Blackmist Elves she left behind still holds the harbor.
Street of Corpses Raised by Elves
A town situated directly below the Tower of Enlightenment. This is where Veritas Academy and Urs clashed head-on after Bella left.
The bodies of citizens and mages fallen in the square were denied rest — raised from death and turned into Urs's soldiers. The swarms of massive maggots writhing on their corpses are a sign of what fills these streets.
Docks of the Sunken Marauders
Once a dock where mages brought in research supplies via the canal.
To the pirates who had never dared lay claim to the dock under Veritas Academy's watch, the elven invasion looked like a golden opportunity. They seized the chaos to plunder, but fell to their knees before the elf Urs the moment they crossed his path.
Intoxicated by the elven dominance they were experiencing for the first time, they seized the dock — unaware that they were falling into madness.
Ravine Where the Traitors Hide
A steep ravine on the outskirts of Towerstead.
The Red Anchor Order, who once kept the peace in Towerstead in service of House Harborwell, defected to the elves the moment they witnessed their power.
Still clad in armor bearing the crests of their former house, they now turn their blades against the very bloodline they once swore to protect.
Elven Stakes Embedded in Rinea
Having left their own continent — ravaged by a long civil war — the elves saw Rinea, the continent of humans, as a new land to conquer.
To weaken humankind and absorb the continent's energy, they drove two kinds of stakes into the ground:
Stake of Dominion — brands the earth.
Stake of Oppression — instills fear and stifles resistance.
Ordinary humans cannot see these stakes. Unaware that the very ground beneath their feet has already become a domain of the elves, ordinary humans lament as their crops wither, cry out to the gods as the beasts grow savage, and die beneath the weight of an inexplicable fear pressing on their hearts.
Only those with a special power can see and destroy these stakes.
Steam post image The Brand Imprinted on the Ground
Violet stakes float across the hunting grounds throughout Rinea. They are statues of a female elf, broken and suspended in midair — fragments scattered, yet gathered toward a single point as if about to come together again.
A round core is embedded in the statue's waist, and a band engraved with elven script slowly rotates around it, splitting the violet beam of light into four strands and casting them down to the ground. Any land this light falls on is no longer human territory.
Where the Stake of Dominion is driven into the earth, the land no longer yields. Grain harvests give only empty husks, veins of ore give up only broken stone, beasts grow feral, and the people who remain slowly lose themselves. The stake is a declaration clearer than any edict — this land now belongs to the elves. So does everything that grows upon it.
The Brand Imprinted on the Place of Fear
Crimson stakes are driven into every Domain Boss's lair. Their shape is identical to the Stake of Dominion, but the light burns a different color — and is incomparably more intense. If violet is a brand, then crimson is a threat.
Wherever a Stake of Oppression stands, a powerful elven creature is always there to guard it. The stake grants that creature its reign, and the creature, in turn, guards the stake.
