Repeated intro
Hello!
Let’s return to the underground city of Eshara where our comic side-story begins with a small, very relatable moment.
Agol wakes up late.
The temple bells have already sounded, and the morning prayer is underway. For the Unworthy — the name given to the worshippers of the two-faced god Lahmu — this is part of their everyday life. Agol rushes through the city, half-asleep and trying to catch up with the day.
The day continues and the story follows two hunters of the Unworthy, Jachan and Agol. While they share the same role in the city, their personalities are very different. Jachan is focused and devoted, taking his duties and traditions seriously. Agol, on the other hand, is not the most disciplined person. He is more relaxed and driven by curiosity and everyday comforts. This contrast creates both tension and humor as they are sent out together beyond the safety of the city.
First four comics pages:
As you may already know, their story is not told directly. Instead, you can uncover it piece by piece. Throughout the game, you can find statues of Lahmu that are missing their heads. These heads are hidden behind challenging obstacles, rewarding exploration and skill.
When you manage to return a head to its statue, you’re rewarded with a page from a comic. Each page reveals a fragment of Jachan and Agol’s story, slowly building a parallel narrative that exists alongside the main journey of the Guardian. These comic pages don’t take place somewhere else — they are rooted in the same environments you explore in the game. Familiar places appear again, but from a different perspective, giving more context to the world and the lives of the people who inhabit it. Each comic page reveals another part of Jachan and Agol’s journey, focused on their experiences beyond the city walls.
So what begins with one late morning slowly turns into a larger adventure — one you can discover at your own pace.
