Greetings Voidlings!! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? We are reaching out from the shadows of our keyboards to give you an update on the update!

addedOur last major update introduced changes to the game's visuals, enhancing the user experience and aligning with the theme. We brought you two new maps, 4 guns, and 6 souls. Alongside these were a slew of new artifacts, stats, and general rebalances.
changedSince then, we have continued working on balance, maps, and making the game overall more fun. We have decided to move away from the flat map design of ye olde build. For example, you will find the classic Forest map has a layout that you are going to navigate to find the shrines and survive. The foul creatures of darkness will wander out from the trees as you fight your way through the sparse paths to gain more power. Enemy art tuning, menus, and a major change to the lore and your experience are here: The player is now represented by a character model!!!! This model will adjust based on your chosen Soul and Runes.
addedWith the update to the player character, we didn’t want to leave the Vessels untouched. Each weapon now has a custom crosshair and recoil pattern, and updated passives for each weapon. The Soul system has received a rework to give more interesting effects on gameplay.
removedPreviously, the different Artifacts, Boons, Runes, and Ichors all stepped on each other in terms of their applications during a run. We have moved to isolate each category to make them more unique based on what they are supposed to be. Runes are also easier to acquire now, no longer needing special conditions. This means you can find any Rune during a run. Shrines are all physicalized in the world, so you can learn their locations and better plan your routes between each one.
addedTo make the game more approachable, we have unified the Stats system in some places, with multiple stats aligned under each category, enabling some crazier builds. Artifacts have been cleaned up with less chaff in the pool. Just Stats have been converted to the Boon category, clearing some space in the Artifacts, and giving you some additional bonuses for completing Shrines. Ichor flasks have a new model for pickup, and the artifacts you would be offered are removed or merged into the standard Artifacts. Now the Ichor flasks fill up a bar to grant you more rerolls and banish chances.
