PATCH NOTES v0.4.0

FEATURES

EQUIPMENT AS UNLOCKS

  • Equipment (weapons, gloves, and armor) are now unlocks on your character that you can take to any server.

  • Equipment unlocks have been moved to a new Forge Equipment screen in the menus, accessible at any time.

  • Find outposts and unlock new equipment trees! Pay resources to permanently unlock and have access to any part of that equipment tree.

  • Any equipment PREVIOUSLY crafted on the server under the old system will automatically be granted to players on that server in their unlocks.

  • Dyes have been temporarily disabled. They will return in the next patch.

  • Gloves temporarily only have extraction abilities.

CAMERA CONTROLS UPDATE

  • The camera can now be moved independently from character facing. Move the camera around as you like!

HUD REVAMP

  • Player controls and the bottom bars of the HUD have been updated in preparation for controllers:

  • There are now only 2 discrete modes: combat and build mode. Switch between as you need!

  • Glove powers and consumables have been given hotkeys for easier access during combat.

  • Players can still quickswap between two assigned weapons. :)

  • Build Mode updated! The defense will now appear directly in front of the character model and move with character.

COMBAT UPDATES

  • Added the new Ballista turret! A single-target, damage turret for going after Eden's larger creatures.

  • Defense variations! Added additional turret upgrades and effects for greater strategy variety.

  • Updated attack numbers to reflect elemental weaknesses on monsters (will look like a critical hit).

  • Improved the usage of the Electro Turret. This turret now prioritizes ranged enemies and fires a targeted AoE, tracking its target as it moves. The charged state deals damage as well.

  • Null Batons once again increase their damage as you apply stacks.

  • Hammer damage has been significantly increased.

ONGOING RANGED REVAMP

  • Ranged weapons have received some love! We’ll be continuing improvements on these in the next few updates. Ranged weapons now offer fire-at-the-hip, shotgun-style regular attacks. Enter "Aim Mode" to hit targets from afar and deal extra damage to monsters with exposed weakspots.

  • To go with this update, we've added a ton of new ranged weapon variations and upgrades!

DIFFICULTY UPDATES

  • Updated difficulty selections! In the server admin panel, choose between Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulties. Normal is the default difficulty for new games.

  • When selecting sieges, choose additional difficulty for the siege!

  • Choosing harder difficulties whenever available will give additional rewards!

  • Receive additional Mastery XP whenever playing multiplayer.

TECH TREE UPDATES

  • Tech trees are now accessible through a station in camp (previously the Upgrade Station).

  • All the trees have been revamped and rewards from sieges updated.

  • Tech trees no longer contain equipment.

  • The ballista has been added as well as variations for all turrets.

  • Improved consumables have been added.

  • Costs have been completely rebalanced.

  • Siege rewards have been completely rebalanced.

  • Minisieges no longer give Nanochips (instead they unlock equipment).

MISC.

  • Hammers, Bidents, and Glaives have new/updated VFX.

  • Updated the tutorial to use the new Ballista turret.
