Gameplay
changedWelcome to Dev Talk, our weekly update and sneak peak into what is in store for Dwarf Guild Mania. Here's a look into some of our big additions this week.
changedMines and constructed buildings that produce resources such as gems, gold, or grunts (the Big Three G's) are affected by the efficiency metric. This is calculated based on a number of factors but the biggest of these is manpower. With no dwarves to work the mines, where will the gems come from? You can boost your efficiency to a maximum of 100% by ensuring your buildings are fully staffed but you can also take a number of other actions such as choosing doctrines that affect just that building or choosing certain ideologies that affect your guild as a whole.
changedIn this example the player has built 2 mines, a ruby mine and an opal mine. This ruby mine is fully staffed with grunts and has 100% efficiency, meaning it is producing the maximum amount of gems (determined by the gem vein quality as well as the buildings level).
addedIn this image we see the player has been notified that their is an ongoing gem rush, a unit is idle, and a new town has been revealed. With this information the player should be able to make the best decisions for their guilds growth and success.
addedNext week we'll be bringing you more information on Unit Recruitment & Deployment and discuss how units are obtained and how they sometimes... die. We'll also be introducing 2 new resources.

Productivity & Efficiency of Mines
Mines and constructed buildings that produce resources such as gems, gold, or grunts (the Big Three G's) are affected by the efficiency metric. Notifications
The second big addition this week that we'd like to show is the notification system. Games can become overwhelming with lots to do and think about so bringing important information and decisions to your attention at the beginning of each turn is very useful.
