Dwarf Guild Mania changes
It's now one week since launch and we've been hard at work with our first major update to push out some exciting features that were not quite ready on release day. We've made quite a few additions, changes and fixes... and we've more in the pipeline.
Guild Treasury
Added a new page to the menu, "Guild Treasury". Here you will manage income, debt, inflation, purchase loans, and sell bonds.
Added loans. Take out loans to cover short term expenses. These must be repaid with interest over a number of turns.
Added bonds. Sell bonds to fund expansion. Repay the coupon rate each turn and the face value upon maturity.
Added inflation. All prices will be affected by inflation and deflation.
View debt, inflation, income in the Guild Treasury.
Added income history graph to guild treasury
Wraith of the Realm
Greatly modified the wraith of the realm menu.
Added wraith of the realm character and dialogue
Moved wraith of the realm to primary menu and removed "3 card" button in bottom left corner of screen.
Added virtue cards. These always grant gold, resources, grunts, food, or units but the quantity is varied. Thus it is a gamble as the card cost may be higher than the rewards value
You can now view your gold in the wraith of the realm menu.
Shop no longer closes by default after purchase of a card.
Wraith of the realm now describes the effect of purchased tarot card.
Major Changes
Added a "How To Play" menu which is accessed from the pause menu. This is to provide players with a glossary and quick guide in game.
Added "Tooltip" style outliner that shows information anytime a metric or button is hovered. It will describe the meaning of the metric.
Added tooltip when hovering resources.
Added cap to the amount of gems you can hold (250 to start).
Added fortress building. Built by prospectors. It increases the gem cap by 250 each. This building can also be upgraded.
Added ability to close mines temporarily to free up grunts and allow players to focus on selected mines. The mine will not produce gems nor will it require upkeep when closed.
Added ability to abandon mine, permanently destroying it and freeing the land. The mine must first be closed before it can be abandoned.
Minor Changes
Added new UI icons.
Fixed a bug where mines were not being prioritized correctly based on buttons.
Adjusted placement and layout of production tab.
Fixed graphical issue with notifications details UI.
Balanced the price of tarot cards to make them more accessible more often.
