Dungeons of Delveria changes
The Steam Demo of Dungeons of Delveria has now been released! For the first time on Steam you can download the game, give it a try and let me know how do you feel about it in its current shape and form. This is a big milestone for me as a solo developer as a larger pool of players is now going to be experiencing the game.
The intent is to keep releasing regular updates to the demo until the release of the full game, so you can see your feedback helping to shape the game, just like terrain powers can shape the dungeon in the game.
For the first time, the game includes a proper tutorial which should hopefully help players who are newer to traditional roguelikes to get into the game and to understand its core mechanics.
The community hub is open so please leave a post or a comment after you have tested the game to let me know what you would like to see next.
Upcoming features for the game include:
New biomes , this is the top priority and will be introduced in the next larger patch, adding variety to the dungeon
More terrain powers to make use of those new biomes and to add variety to the existing ones.
New enemies to fight against
More thematic loot, currently many of the items are quite generic fantasy items but I would like to change them to be more in-sync with the theme of shaping the dungeon.
An ASCII mode for players who enjoy a simpler graphical style.
And of course there are going to be several bug fixes and quality of life improvements as I get feedback on which direction you would like to see the game evolve to. I look forward to reading your stories and experiences in Dungeons of Delveria. - Teemu from Delveria Games
