addedTranslationsThat's right, I've started adding FULL localization options to my game. It was supposed to be a simple thing, a few hundred lines give or take. It ended being around 1,500 lines of text that needed to be translated and some scenes needed to be adjusted to fit the text length of new languages.
addedTranslationsThe only language translated so far is Spanish ( Español ). I am going to be adding more soon, just working on a script to make my life a lot easier.
changedChangesRenamed All Gear Items - Every Weapon and piece of Armour has been renamed. They are no longer going to have the long names like "Bronze Trimmed Ruby Imbued Mystery Sword" , it has been simplified to just "Mystery Sword" . The Icons will now show you what is special about the weapon, as well as the new Inventory Inspection screen. That now shows what Gem, and Trim are applied to the weapon.
fixedChangesBlacksmith & Craftsman Layout Changes - A few small layout tweaks to fit the new translated text, and I fixed buttons not staying highlighted when selected.
changedChangesArrow Crafting Change - When you select an Arrow to be crafted, it will now automatically select the "Bronze" Arrowtips instead of leaving it blank, if a Trim wasn't already selected.
removedChangesCrafting & Smithing Changes - In the previous versions, Crafting and Smithing would both disable buttons if you were too low level and lacked the materials to make the item. Now, it's just disabled if you're too low level. This allows you to plan ahead and see what items cost, so you know how much of a specific material you need. Small change, but a quality change.

That's right, I've started adding FULL localization options to my game. It was supposed to be a simple thing, a few hundred lines give or take. It ended being around 1,500 lines of text that needed to be translated and some scenes needed to be adjusted to fit the text length of new languages.

Fixed Selling Scenes - This was just a detail I missed from the massive 3.0 overhaul. The icons weren't sitting correctly inside their respective button, and I increased the font size as well.

Updated to Godot 4.6.1 - As usual with these notes, shouldn't change anything for you. I'm just keeping up with Godot Engine versions.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Quest Board Close Button not working

Fixed Settings Screen not Resetting Correctly

Fixed Sell Chest not Showing Interaction PopUp in General Store

⚠️ AI Usage Disclosure ⚠️

The newly created translation files are AI generated. I used Qwen3 8B locally on my desktop to handle translations. I verified the translations to the best of my ability, and it all seems accurate.

I know some people don't like AI, however I believe this is a fair use. Google Translate, DeepL, they're already using AI for translation, so even if I used those tools I'd still be using AI.
