Dungeon Defenders: Awakened changes
We apologize for the delay in this week’s patch. We were still addressing multiplayer issues at the time of release and made the decision to hold the update until those issues were resolved. To ensure players still get a full week with each Map of the Week, we will be moving our patch schedule to Thursdays going forward. We’ve got a solid round of updates focused on spawn consistency, early progression, and overall gameplay improvements. This patch also continues refining spawns across each of the modes while addressing bugs and expanding rewards.

Map of the Week Update
Arcane Alignment 5 Arcanist pieces have been removed from the Map of the Week Arcanist loot pool
Note: This change was made based on community feedback
These items will return in a future patch in a more refined implementation
BUG FIXES
Fixed issue where only hero gear dropped in Act 4 (Nightmare & Massacre Campaign)
Ogres now properly spawn on The Mill in all modes
Cleaned up tooltips for:
Warden Action Figure
EV Action Figure
Summoner Action Figure
Guardian Action Figure
Fixed Tests Mode:
No longer allows player gear
No longer marked as multiplayer
Split-screen disabled
Fixed crash when host leaves (players now return to tavern)
Fixed Tower Giraffes on a Treadmill not dropping in Survival
Improved Tower Giraffe tooltip clarity
Golden Tower Pet now properly drops at Wave 100 (Massacre Yuletide Village)
SPAWN UPDATES
A. The Mill
Wyverns now properly spawn from both spawners across all game modes
Pure Strategy spawns now match Survival
Spider spawns across all modes have been converted to a percentage-based system (aligned with other special enemies)
Wyvern spawns across Survival, Pure Strategy, and Mixed Mode now use a percentage-based system
Note: This results in an overall increase to wyvern spawns
B. Forsaken Temple
Moved the northwest rift portal closer toward the center of the lane
Removed copter ogres from the northwest rift portal
Added a new ogre copter rift portal between the north and northwest lanes
Note: These changes address enemies getting stuck in the northwest lane
C. The Promenade
Pure Strategy now uses Survival spawn patterns
Spider spawns now use a percentage-based system instead of pulse waves (all modes)
Wave 25 ogres increased to 6 (up from 3)
Wyverns now spawn in all game modes using a percentage-based system

Completing Alchemical Laboratory (Campaign) → awards Hippogryph
Completing Throne Room (Campaign) → awards Helping Hand
Completing The Keep (Campaign) → awards Mega Chicken
Completing Forsaken Temple (Campaign) → awards Steam Robot

Deadly Striker Tower
Rune ability projectile now has a 1 second cooldown at Rank 8
Wisp Den
Increased desirability to ogre copter flares (325 priority)
Base damage reduced to 200 (down from 243)
Tower damage Hero Stat Scalar reduced to 1.5 (down from 1.6)
Conclusion
We’ll continue monitoring feedback and refining balance, rewards, and progression across all game modes. These updates are part of an ongoing effort to make the experience smoother, more rewarding, and more consistent from early to endgame.
