added### ⭐ Rate My Questionable Decisions Enjoying the game? Hated that one enemy? Found a bug that became your best friend? Please leave a Steam review! Seriously—good or bad, I read them all since there are only 19 of them on STEAM. Your feedback helps me make the game better, and your review helps more people discover it and make the STEAM achievements show in your stats. As a solo developer, every review means a lot. (They're also much cheaper than therapy.) Thanks for playing, and thanks for helping this little game grow! ❤️ --- ## Steam Patch Notes --- ## Added * Added enemy archetypes: Tank, Bruiser, Magical Damage, DoT Damage, Debuffer. These will help unify enemy design and their stats. * Rebalanced stats of the player party and enemies. --- ## Update * Updated the look of the player protagonist’s face. The old version (created when development started in 2016) has been replaced with default assets. The new version looks fitting in game art, and additional expressions will be added and swapped in over time. This also allowed removal of the original white outlines, which were manually placed pixel-by-pixel back then due to lack of experience with paint net tools. Edges were sharpened using a sharpening tool, resulting in a cleaner overall look. * Continued work on pixel art and began replacing default character sprites. Etrerburg Kingdom soldiers have been fully replaced with custom-made sprites, including animations and added weapon/shield movement with bobbing to improve realism. Only Etrerburg and Ebrerin soldiers are completed for now; other kingdoms will follow over time.
addedFrom this point onward, custom character sprites and faces are being introduced. This will slow individual character production since each one is now made manually. A few characters have already been completed, and more will follow.
changedCustom face creation has also begun. These are currently made by combining existing assets (for example: current default npc changed to original npc keeping the face and hair color unified). Default assets may still be used occasionally to speed up updates, with gradual replacement over time.
changedUpdated skills of Bandit Captain
changedUpdated skills of Ogre
changedUpdated Heavy Slash to have a 40% chance to cause Bleed

--- ## Fishing Treasure Chest Rework

Reworked the Fishing Treasure Chest system. Chests no longer give a static 3 Gold reward. Instead, they now use a tiered loot system with randomized rewards:

  • 5% → 20 Gold

  • 15% → 1 Gold

  • 15% → Rare item / weapon / armor

  • 65% → Common item / weapon / armor

Luck (LUK) now affects chest rewards by increasing the chance of Gold and Rare loot, while slightly reducing the chance of Common loot. ### Lockpicking Integration Fishing Treasure Chests now require lockpickin before they can be opened. A lockpick item is required, and access is handled through the Lock Pick Minigame (can be enabled or disabled depending on settings). ### Visual & UI Updates * Updated magnet icon visuals * Improved fishable water appearance * Added a visible fishing hook indicator above water for clearer interaction feedback

--- ## Fixed

  • Fixed Knarmic Naa so instead of a Target Dummy it's... well... him.

  • Rebalanced starting stats (level 1). Player and enemy stats are now more balanced. Enemies still vary by ±15% to keep encounters dynamic (e.g., Thief A may have 85 HP or 115 HP instead of a fixed value like 100 HP at level 5).

  • Fixed Coruptor spell so you can now resurrect allies: Profane Resurrection

  • Fixed Coruptor spell so you can now resurrect allies: Hollow Resurrection

  • Fixed Rasmussen Household so you can now enter the house.

  • Fixed Treasure Chest while fishing to correctly give Sunken Treasure

  • Fixed a certain water doing damage when walking over it and make it not walkable (You are not Jesus) * Fixed certain enemies not attacking after first turn --- This is all for this update, creating images took some time (NOTE: I did use AI tool to enhance the images since I still have to learn color fading from light to dark places on cloths depending on stance)
