Demo Launches October 6, 2026!

The wait is almost over! On October 6, 2026, you’ll be able to step aboard your own fishing trawler and begin your journey through the flooded world of the Submerged Lands, where the Sea-Blight has transformed the world, mutating whatever comes in touch with it.

The demo offers you the opportunity to explore DREADMOOR’s core gameplay systems and discover what life is like after the collapse of the world.

What Awaits You? Every voyage begins at the harbour, but once you’ve secured your vessel, the wider world awaits you.

Explore the Submerged Lands

Search through a post-apocalyptic world that has flooded, gradually mutated and rotted for valuable resources that help you to survive. Resolve supplies from both land and water, retrieve drifting cargo with the Grappling Hook Gun, pick locked containers, solve puzzles, and use your ship’s radio to uncover new destinations hidden throughout the flooded world!

Fish, Scavenge and Trade

Catch both peaceful and predatory fish, process your catch into useful materials, and trade fish and salvaged resources with the people who still call the Submerged Lands home.

You’ll be able to craft new lures and tackle at the workbench and unlock new upgrades through the Fishing Skill Tree!

Not everything of value swims beneath the surface; you’ll also need to search through cabinets, crates, floating debris, and abandoned containers to uncover crafting materials and forgotten supplies left behind by the old world. One man's trash is another’s treasure, as the saying goes!

Build your Trawler

Your vessel is your lifeline, so you better take care of it! The Ship Upgrade Skill Tree will let you upgrade and customise your trawler with:

  • Hull Armour Mk I

  • Two engine options

  • Fish storage upgrade

  • Roof-mounted lantern

Survive the Journey

Keep your trawler running by refuelling at isolated gas stations or with fuel cans recovered during your travels.

Repair damage after dangerous encounters, remove Sea-Blight polyps from your vessel, rest to pass the time, and make every expedition count.

Arm yourself with both the Grappling Hook Gun and Harpoon Launcher as you venture deeper into the flooded wilderness.

Want to Play Before October?

Our next Focus Test begins on July 24, giving selected players an early opportunity to experience DREADMOOR before the public demo launches.

  • Sign up for the Focus Test. Just say you’d like to take part, and one of our team members will add you to the participant list.

  • Follow the instructions in the Focus Test channel when the event starts!
