The waters have gone quiet again, and that can only mean one thing: the DREADMOOR Pre-Alpha playtest has come to an end. Left behind is the recorded data and observations of the players as they frantically attempted to get out of the Wastes, through the giant Beaver dam, no less!
For a short time, the eerily calm of the Submerged Land was disturbed. Boats cut through the stale swamp waters, lines were cast, fish were caught, and risks were taken where caution might have been wiser. What remains now is not the players themselves, but a record of their actions, captured, measured, and preserved.
These numbers will now live on for an eternity, proof that the Submerged Lands are real and that they have truly been visited by people! As for what will happen next, this playtest has already reshaped DREADMOOR in ways that won’t always be obvious. Systems will be reworked. Assumptions will be challenged. Some paths will close, while others may become harder to find.
Once again, we’d like to thank each and every one of you who took part, and even those who couldn’t but still joined in on the many conversations and discussions about the game. It’s time for us to get back to the development of DREADMOOR; however, we’re now armed with real data, so you can expect to see some big progress in the near future!
