Doloc Town changes
Dear Scavengers,
Doloc Town has officially turned one year old today!
This milestone marks an unforgettable journey for our team, with plenty of things happening behind the scenes over the past year. We are endlessly grateful for your overwhelming support - from leaving reviews to sharing valuable feedback, every contribution has helped shape and improve our game. Thanks to your backing, we were able to continue delivering updates and steadily moving closer to the official full release.
To celebrate our first anniversary, we’re excited to share some development progress our team has been quietly working over the past few months. Some of these new content will be delivered via an update in about a month, where others will be available upon the final full release afterwards.
Coming Soon
Steam Workshop
The Steam Workshop feature is coming to Doloc Town very soon! Our team has been quietly developing this highly anticipated tool over the past few months, and we’re finally ready to share more details.
Steam Workshop will bring a wide range of modding capabilities to the game, including replacing existing in-game textures, plus the ability to craft brand-new in-game items, decorations, crops, recipes, fish and even unique resources.
Here is a sneak peek at some of the mods created by the devs and community testers!
We’re thrilled to roll out Steam Workshop support ahead of the full official release and we cannot wait to see what type of new content players could come up with!
Vector Font
Alongside Steam Workshop, the upcoming update will also introduce a new vector font option. This will sit alongside our original pixel font, letting players freely switch between the two anytime directly in the game settings.
We hope this additional font will boost text readability for some players and further enhance your time in Doloc Town. Feel free to share your thoughts on this new addition in the comments below!
In The Works
Multi-Language Support
Doloc Town will support more languages upon full release! Thanks to our wonderful community localization contributors, together we were able to bring the charm of Doloc Town to even more players worldwide.
That said, there is still plenty of work ahead. We are currently conducting ongoing behind-the-scenes testing for all localized text so we kindly ask for your patience as we work on this :)
For more details on you could help with the process, check our previous devlog here:
Old City Ruins
Meanwhile, part of our team has also been hard at work on the full release build, with a major focus on our brand new map - The Old City Ruins.
As the final major map area planned for full release, many paths across Doloc Town lead toward this mysterious ruined city, where countless secrets lie waiting to be uncovered.
Within The Old City Ruins and its surrounding areas, players will encounter new creatures, NPCs, unique items, and plenty more fresh content.
Farming Automation
As teased in our roadmap and latest dev log, farming automation is set to arrive in the full release!
As one of the core late-game features, farming automation will greatly expand the depth of the game. It enables a more relaxed, enjoyable farm management with less hussle in the late game.
And to answer one of the most frequently asked questions from players: yes, drones can freely enter and exit farming buildings :)
And that should cover all the updates we’d like to share for today. Doloc Town is rapidly approaching its full release, and our team is fully focused on the final stages of development. Please bear with us as we continue refining and polishing the game, and we’ll see you again in our next update!
