Doloc Town changes
Dear Scavengers,
The Long-Awaited Workshop Update Is Finally Here!
Eager to explore a more vibrant and diverse world in Doloc Town? Dive right in and experience Workshop mods today!
Workshop Overview
The newly launched Doloc Town Workshop allows players to not only replace existing in-game textures, but also encourages new content creation - including brand new items, decorations, crops, recipes, fish, and even basic resources!
Thanks to our early playtesters and artists, a variety of fun mods are already available for subscription. More community creations will keep rolling in as the feature goes live today, so hop over and take a look!
How to Subcribe To Mods
If you are new to Workshop and unsure how to install mods into your game, the process is quite simple!
Just click the Workshop link above to enter the official Workshop page, where you can browse all kinds of player creations there. Select the ones you liked and hit the green 'Subscribe' button, and Steam will automatically download them in the backend.
Once the download finishes, launch the game and head to the 'Mod' section on the main menu, then enable these mods to have it appeared in your save!
Depending on the mod type, some mods will immediately appear once you load your game, while others need to be obtained via two newly added stores by the phone booth or other special in-game means.
We suggest you read mod descriptions, consult the creators or discover your yourself!
How to Create Your Own Mods
We’d love for you to unleash your creativity and add your favorite content to the game via the Workshop feature!
We’ve put together detailed guides and tutorials for the Workshop content creation - it's fairly easy to work with, even if you're not so good at programming!
Workshop Mod Contest
To celebrate the launch of the Workshop feature, we're delighted to announce our first mod contest, with the goal to gather more high-quality mods from the community!

Upcoming Permanent Pricing Adjustment
Doloc Town has recently marked its first anniversary since launching into Early Access.
Over the past year, we’ve added animal husbandry, fish farming, townie side quests, festivals, gene system, plus the Workshop feature in today's update. With the full release planning to bring in a new map, farming automation and wrap up the main story, the main story playtime is set to increase from the original 20+ hours during initial Early Access to 30+ hours in the full release.
As more content being added and the official release drawing near, we have made a careful decision to adjust the base game price before exiting Early Access. Doloc Town is now available with a 10% discount lasting for two weeks, so feel free to grab it if you are interested. The pricing adjustment will take effect once the discount ends.
Players who have already purchased the game before the price hike will not be affected in any way, and the full release update will be provided completely free of charge for existing owners.
We will announce the exact official release date as soon as everything is fully prepared, so stay tuned!
New Languages Added To The Localization Test Branch!
A few months ago, we launched a Steam test branch featuring in-game translations for Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese as part of our community localization initiative.
Today, we’re pleased to expand the language support on this test branch with several new additions:
French
Russian
German
We’d like to invite all native speakers of the above languages, plus Korean, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese from existing test build, to take part in our localization playtest and help improve our translations. If you're interested, please check our previous Steam Devlog below for a full guide on how to join the test branch:
Friendly Reminder: This test branch still contains unresolved translation and formatting issues. It is primarily intended for translation proofreading and bug checking, rather than for regular gameplay in your native language.
If you’d like to share feedback on the translations, join our official Discord server and claim the Playtester Role (existing server users can obtain via channel & roles tab) to access dedicated playtest channels and localization discussions. You may also check out pinned messages in the localization-chat channel for full online translation sheet.
Thank you all for your constant support and love!
New Bundles For Extra Fun!
Last but not least, we're so happy to partner with our friends at Tales of Seikyu to bring you the Doloc Town & Tales of Seikyu bundle! They will hit 1.0 release today so congrats on this massive milestone!
Apart from this one, we also launched a few more bundles recently so check out our Steam page to see if you're interested!
