Doloc Town changes
Dear Scavengers!
Time really flies - can’t believe we’re already at the end of March!
After rolling out several hotfixes late last month to resolve urgent in-game issues, the team has quickly resumed development on the new content. I have to say, we’re gearing up hard for the full release!
New Content Work In Progress
Next stop: farming automation! As mentioned in our roadmap, automated farming will serve as a key end-game objective in the apocalyptic setting.
We’d love to share an early gameplay footage of the system right now, and feel free to let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Aside from the core gameplay mechanic mentioned above, the team has also been developing other new content, including new minerals and additional fish varieties!
Vector Font
Additionally, the team are also pleased to share a work-in-progress accessibility update: Vector Font!
Many players have mentioned that the current pixel font appears blurry and difficult to read, while others have enjoyed the charming, pixelated style.
As a result, we’ve decided to add an additional font option for improved readability!

The Vector Font is currently available for testing via the Steam beta branch, and we're happy to invite all players to try & share your valuable feedback! (details below)
Community Localization Test Branch
After a long wait, we’re thrilled to finally share an update on the community localization progress!
Starting today, players using the following languages could check out our Steam test branch to experience Doloc Town in their native language:
Korean
Japanese
Brazilian Portuguese
Reminder: Since the localization test branch has just gone live, its current main purpose is to help proofread translations and formatting issues, rather than directly enjoying gameplay in your native language.
Please note that there are known translation and formatting issues in the test branch - so take it with a grain of salt and we strongly recommend backing up your save file before joining in :)
If you’d like to share feedback on the translations, join our official Discord server and claim the Playtester Role (existing server users can obtain via channel & roles tab) to access dedicated localization channels and discussions.
Switch To Beta Branch
To access the test branch, simply follow the steps below:
Step 1: In your Steam app library home page, select 'Doloc Town' and right click to choose 'Properties'
Step 2: In the 'Game Versions & Betas' tab, type the code 'localizationtest' and then click 'Check Code'. There should be a blue button asking if you want to opt into the localization test branch. Click that blue button.
Step 3: If you followed the steps correctly, it should look exactly like the screenshot below! Now close the window, update your game and check out the localization build!
The localization test branch marks a step closer toward official language support, and we can’t wait to welcome even more new languages into beta branch in the coming weeks!
Oh, while developing all these, the team has also been working on a secret extra feature for Doloc Town, which we can’t wait to reveal to our fans - stay tuned!
Last but not least, we're delivering another hotfix today to address some existing in-game issues:
