Hello and welcome to edition 14 of 'Maybe A Devlog!', where I'm here to talk to you about parts of the development of the game that you currently cannot buy.

addedFine, just start the devlogBut as you all wish to defy me and play the game, I too wish to release it (as I promised in the last announcement, I'll announce a release date in the upcoming months). Therefore, I somewhat recently made a neccesary change and added a good friend as a part time producer to my little solo-dev project. His job is to make sure I do my job as best as I possibly can, while focusing on actually getting this thing to the finish line.

In today's edition, I'm going to talk a bit about myself, how I started this journey, and where we are at right now.

Wait, where are editions 1 through 13?

What a silly question. They obviously don't exist. Everyone knows the numbers 1 through 13 were invented by big corporation to control us, the small game-devs. To conform us to their 'reasonable counting methods'.

I resist thier notion that devlogs should start at #1.

Fine, just start the devlog

Thank you for supporting my cause.

Once upon a time, around 5 years ago, I embarked on a journey to create an absurd comedy about the hardships of creating games. "It's only a small project, I can do it solo", I foolishly said to myself.

Since then, I've wrote the entire story for the game multiple times. I've created and re-created all sorts of game mechanics and puzzles (yes, the full game actually has game mechanics!). It's been a wild journey... which I'm very much still on.

But as you all wish to defy me and play the game, I too wish to release it (as I promised in the last announcement, I'll announce a release date in the upcoming months). We've been working together for the past 6 months, making leaps towards a finished game. There is still a lot to be done, but we're getting there, one step at a time.

So for now, the moral of the story is this - when you need help, wait around 5 years before asking your friends to support you along the way. Thank you for being here on this journey with me, - The Developer

Oh, by the way

While I'm speaking of friends, today my dear friend Doctor Shinobi is releasing the demo for Dead Watch. If you like insane comedies, timeloop mysteries, or metroidbrainias I highly recommend you'll check it out: Dead Watch Demo
