Disposable Corps: Tactical Trench Warfare changes
First, we want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We’ve been watching the battles unfold during the Refactoring Update playtest and have received invaluable feedback from the community.
Because we want to gather more data on recent stability changes and give you time to try out the latest content, we have some good news:
📅 Playtest Extended
We are extending the current playtest session! You now have until January 10 to hold the line, break some tanks, and help us stress-test the servers.
🛠️ Latest Patch Notes
Since our last update, we have pushed two waves of patches (covering Dec 30 through Jan 1). These updates focus on Quality of Life improvements, server browsing, and some critical combat fixes.
Here is the breakdown of the changes:
🌟 New Features & Content
British Forces Arrive: We have begun adding British soldiers to the roster!
- NoteThis feature is currently incomplete/Work-In-Progress and will be updated further in future patches.
- Server Region FilterAdded a "Host Region" filter to the server list menu. You can now filter for hosts closer to your location to improve latency.
- Tank Track DamageExpanding on our previous armor update, specific damage logic has been added for Tank Tracks.
Graphics Options:
Added a Grass Render Distance slider to graphics settings.
Added Invert Mouse input options for players who prefer that control scheme.
⚔️ Combat & Gameplay Adjustments
- Sniper ScopesIncreased the brightness of the sniper scope view for better visibility.
- Close-Range CombatFixed a critical bug where shooting an enemy at point-blank range could result in the bullet hitting the player (self-damage) instead of the enemy.
- Camera CollisionAdjusted the character collider to prevent the camera from glitching through the ceiling when inside tunnels.
- Objective DetectionFixed an issue where players were occasionally not recognized by the "Flag Defense Zone" detection logic.
- NPC ConsistencyFixed a mismatch between NPC Command Flag names and the actual Map Flag point names.
🏗️ Construction & System
- Base BuildingFixed a detection error that was preventing players from placing down construction objects in valid areas.
UI Updates:
Updated the UI for selecting Nations/Sides within a game session.
Adjusted Terrain Render Settings to lower GPU usage for better performance.
- StabilityFixed an occasional loading error that occurred when returning to the main menu scene.
