Disposable Corps: Tactical Trench Warfare changes
We are excited to announce that our second private playtest begins tomorrow.
Since our last session in September, we haven’t just been adding content—we’ve been rebuilding the game’s foundation. This update focuses on a major refactor designed to support larger battles, smarter AI, and better performance.
Playtest Schedule:
Starts: Tomorrow, December 23 @ 07:00 ET / 12:00 UTC / 20:00 CST
Ends: Monday, January 12
We hope this gives you ample time to jump in, recruit your squad, and test the new systems.
🔧 What’s New in This Playtest?
We have overhauled several core systems to make gameplay feel more solid and impactful. Here is what you can expect:
Smoother Movement & Camera We have replaced the old systems with fully refactored solutions.
Camera: Movement is now significantly smoother using a physical camera system.
- PlayerMovement is more responsive with improved animations and fewer bugs.
Smarter NPCs Our AI has been reworked from the ground up to handle more units and complex tasks.
Construction: NPCs can now assist players with building fortifications.
Navigation: Pathfinding now accounts for terrain changes, reducing the chance of units getting stuck.
Combat & Weapon Overhaul Combat visuals and feedback have received a major upgrade.
- New ArsenalWe’ve added new models including the Chauchat and Lewis gun .
- GunplayExpect a new recoil system and Picture-in-Picture sniper scopes.
Vehicles & Artillery
Tanks: Now feature interior details and localized damage where armor can deform or break.
Artillery: These units can now be produced, towed, and even fired while being moved.
QoL & Tech
Reconnection: Players can now reconnect to a match after disconnecting.
Persistent Terrain: Terrain damage is now preserved and saved.

🎮 Quick Controls Refresher
For returning commanders and new recruits, we have updated the control scheme. Here are the basics to get you into the fight immediately:
1 ~ 9: Switch weapons
P: Switch to first person/third person view
T: Open Squad Command
E: Interaction
B: Open Building Panel
M: Open Map
Left / Right Arrows: Switch seats in vehicles

This playtest specifically targets the core gameplay loop, performance, and large-scale combat behavior. Some systems, like the UI and specific map content, are still work-in-progress.
