changedThis is likely to be the last major update to the Demo until release. To those of you that have recorded gameplay for me to review, thank you, these changes would not have been possible without your feedback!
addedMajor Updates:Spell cards have a loot level , this can be seen in the bottom left corner of the card as a gold value. Damage incrementally improves with spell level. The primary goal of this is to push players to try new spells as they find them. NOTE: Summon spells and Shield spells are currently not improved by loot level. This will change in the final release.
addedMajor Updates:Spell card modifiers are now better organized . You can no longer get 4 of the same modifier, or 4 modifiers that penalize attack damage. Modifiers are now organized into pools to improve spell variety. NOTE: Spells can no longer roll with a modifier that buffs/debuffs the same element. For example, a blue spell cannot roll with a blue attack buff. This incentivizes multi-element decks. A few new modifiers have been added as well, such as "Hunger" which drastically increases attack damage of the spell, but increases its special ammo cost by 1.
changedMajor Updates:Enemy spell indicators have gotten a visual upgrade. These now indicate the type of attack the enemy is doing (melee, projectile, shield, etc) and more clearly communicate how long an enemy will take to cast their spell. This gives you more information to decide whether to counter their spell, dodge it, or just move out of the way.
fixedMinor Updates:Gamepad issue when playing on a SteamDeck has been fixed.
addedMinor Updates:Special ammo now has a radial indicator to convey how much ammo the play has left.
