Hello high rollers!

I've been busy working behind the scenes on some major game systems cough saving and loading cough and I can say that they work and don't break the game! So with that, I can start on new content AND a new demo. What's first, you might wonder? Well, let me show you...
Scoring Hands!
Hands will be getting a rework in the coming update. I noticed that people (and myself) focus on leveling only two or three hands each run. I also saw some players selling off hands they didn't use (which is a valid strategy!) and focusing on their leveled hands. This update addresses that, and adds more choice for the player.
The starting hands are going to be reduced from 8 to 6. Full House and Large Straight are going to be moved to the shop pool, leaving only Pair, 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind, Cast, Small Straight, and Trash to start each run. The number of hands you can have will be reduced from 12 to 8. Why, you may ask? See for yourself:
I wanted to redo the art to add more personality to each hand, and to do so I needed to make them bigger. This reduces the space available for hands, but I think it is worth it in the end. I'm also working on getting some new hands and dice in for this next update. Here's a look at some more updated hands (and a sneak peak at a new one):
This update will also include more bug fixes, tweaks, and small additions to content.
What's next?
My plan is to start work on more major game systems with 1) localization, and 2) achievements and unlocks. I'll work on these system alongside new content (dice, hands, pins, bosses, etc.). These updates will be part of a beta test to prepare for a demo late January/early February. Keep an eye out for some more info soon on how to join the beta.
All the best,
sofamire
