Demo Update: New Content & Gameplay Improvements

We are continuing active development of the game and gradually bringing the demo up to date with the project's current state. Alongside technical improvements, we are adding new content and refining existing mechanics.

Location Changes

  • The explorable area available in the demo has been expanded by approximately 30%.

  • The loot generation algorithm has been completely reworked.

  • Plague zones are now more dangerous, but offer more valuable rewards.

  • More people now populate the streets, including informants who can share useful tips.

  • Experience rewards for quests have been slightly increased. Even in the demo, players can now unlock several useful Talents.

  • After finding the medicine, players can return to the sewers. However, demo playtime is still limited by John's maximum fatigue.

Gameplay Changes

  • Picking complex locks and performing difficult pickpocketing no longer consume John's Focus, but now increase Fatigue by 5%.

  • Reinforcements will now arrive at a location during high alert levels or after a phone call is made.

  • Merchants in the square will now buy any item from John.

  • When crafting items, repairing, or building various structures, John will automatically use resources stored in the sewer stash.

Miscellaneous

  • Minor human AI improvements: enemies have learned to lock windows if they notice John using them, and now react more actively to missing items in a house.

  • Dog AI has been refined. Their vision radius visibility has been improved.

  • Numerous small UI fixes. John's stats are now easier to track, including rising Infection in plague-ridden districts and Police Search level. Discovered merchants and informant tips are now marked on the map with special icons.

  • Performance optimizations and bug fixes.
