We've been quieter than usual this month, and for good reason.

Playtest 3 is finally approaching.

Over the last few weeks we've been focusing less on adding content and more on something equally important:

Giving players the tools to understand and master the game.

Desert Revenant 2 has always been built for experimentation, discovery, and theorycrafting. With hundreds of cards, blessings, passive abilities, enemies, curses, and status effects, we've reached a point where simply playing isn't enough.

Players need ways to track their progress, review their runs, compare decisions, and understand what works.

That's why a large part of our recent development effort has gone into a brand new Statistics System.

Statistics & Saved Runs

We're introducing the first version of an extensive statistics suite designed specifically for players who enjoy optimization and experimentation.

Some examples include:

  • Revenant progression tracking

  • Playtime tracking

  • Cards discovered

  • Enemies discovered

  • Areas explored

  • Most picked cards

  • Cards upgraded

  • Cards purged

  • Deck composition tracking

  • Blessing tracking

  • Passive Ability tracking

  • Minion Perk tracking

  • Power Card tracking

  • Passageway tracking

  • Saved run history

  • Run summaries

And this is only the beginning.

Our goal is for players to eventually be able to look back at their runs, compare builds, identify trends, and better understand how they play.

Whether you're a casual player looking at your progression or a dedicated theorycrafter chasing the perfect build, these systems are being built with you in mind.

Playtest 3 Begins July 3rd

We're excited to confirm that Playtest 3 is scheduled to begin on:

What We're Testing

  • Balance changes

  • New content

  • Additional polish and usability improvements

As always, your feedback directly shapes the future of the game.

Thank you for your patience while we prepared this next phase.

We're looking forward to seeing what kinds of ridiculous builds you'll discover.

See you on July 3rd!
