First, thank you all for your interest in playtesting Descent of Lunaris. It has helped us tackle so many tiny things with having more eyes and ears on the project.

We are a few weeks in and while these patch notes are not the entirety of what we've been working on, you can see some tweaks we've done. (Somethings have been fixed so fast we can't even remember what it was haha)
addedAs of posting the new build is live. It will break your save because of all the systems updates we've done. The notes below show the majority of large adjustments we've done while we still tackle implementing finished playable character sprites and more.

Playtest Patch Notes:

Content/Art:

  • Character creation! (a simplified creation available after the prologue)

  • New animations for various speakers

  • New sound effects

  • Bestiary enhancements

  • Minor story/art improvements

Features/UI:

  • Betahub re-implementation! You can now report bugs and suggest features in-game during a run via F12!

  • Tooltips for Damage/Debuff resistance

  • Visual effects for missed hits

  • Added button to "Skip Prologue" if you already played it at least once

  • New visual screens for character creation

Design/Balance:

  • New Fighter Ability: Grapnel Hook (based on your feedback!)

  • New Shielder Ability: Fend Off

  • Bulwark now a level 1 skill on shielder, Intimidate has been removed

  • Lancer's starting weapon has been changed

  • Valkyrie now starts with Red Mist instead of Phase-Blade

  • Redacted has grown tired of being beaten so easily...

  • Burn has been reworked to be more consistent

  • Fabricator summoning has been reworked, now needs to rest a turn afterwards

  • Many more minor tweaks

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed an issue where stun was doing literally nothing (Hacker users are gonna notice this one)

  • Fixed an issue where armor was calculated incorrectly

  • Smoke Bomb has been fixed and re-added

  • Fixed debug messages getting printed to the screen

  • Many more minor fixes
