addedThis is the latter part of version 0.1.7 which includes the starting cutscene that is triggered when you select the Colosseum Lobby. Now that I can implement cutscenes in the game, there is a mechanic I wish to try and add in; the audience commentary. An example of this is: in anime; when there is combat, it will cut to the side characters talking about the fight, exposition, or a joke. I wanted to add this from the beginning of development but with the lack of characters at the time and progress of the game, I intended to hold off on the cutscene animations till now. There is still one problem I have to solve before doing it.
added1 vs 1 combat scenarios are fine but when you select 3 vs 3 combat scenarios; the pacing and overall feel is worse. For the next update I plan on fixing up most of the combat Issues that are mainly felt in 3 v 3 fights. I will not change the way you play it for now (command -> battle phase) but I will try to make it more smoother by adding some new mechanics and see if it improves the overall feel ( ex. "ally combo attacks" to speed up the turn). This all I'll consider as the first major update which will also include a new playable character and
addedThat is the conclusion for now. I'll also be fixing the elements and adding some other ones like water and dark. The animation part of the cutscene took me 1 week to do. You don't want to know how the camera works in the cutscene.
