Delta-4: Terminal Protocol Development Update 6

Greetings, passengers.

Development on Delta-4: Terminal Protocol continues to move forward, and we're excited to share several new features that will be coming on the next demo release this summer. Most importantly, we're thrilled to announce that Delta-4: Terminal Protocol has been selected to participate in Steam Next Fest from June 15th through June 22nd, 2026!

This will be the first opportunity for many players to step aboard the Delta-4, explore its failing systems, and begin uncovering the mysteries hidden within the ship's network.

🚀 Steam Next Fest: June 15 - June 22, 2026

We're incredibly excited to showcase Delta-4: Terminal Protocol during Steam Next Fest.

Players will be able to experience the game's unique terminal-driven gameplay, investigate ship systems, uncover crew logs, and begin piecing together the story of humanity's last desperate voyage.

The demo represents only a small portion of the larger narrative, but it contains numerous clues, hidden files, and story elements that hint at the darker truth behind the Delta-4 mission.

If you've been following development, this is the perfect time to add the game to your wishlist and help spread the word.

👨‍🚀 Crew Profiles Now Accessible

One of the most requested additions has been expanded crew information.

Players can now access detailed crew profiles directly from each crew member's terminal. As you gain access to different systems throughout the ship, you'll be able to review personnel records, view crew photographs, and learn more about the people who once operated the Delta-4.

Each profile contains background information, security clearances, service records, and personal details that help paint a clearer picture of the crew's relationships and motivations.

As players investigate further, these profiles may help reveal more clues.

The current crew roster includes:

  • Captain Jane Rao

  • First Officer Kyle Rendar

  • Navigator Tommy Roberts

  • Technician Elias Varik

  • Engineer Luis Mendoza

  • Biologist Akira Chen

  • Medic Simona Yu

These records serve as another piece of the larger mystery surrounding Cyberstate Systems, the voyage to Mars, and the fate of everyone aboard the Delta-4. Special call-out to Tommy for providing his likeness and helping contribute to the development of the game!

☀️ New Interactive Solar Array Alignment System

We are also introducing a brand-new interactive subsystem: Solar Array Alignment.

Instead of simply issuing a command and waiting for a result, players must now manually align the ship's solar collection array toward nearby stars.

The mini-game requires precision and rewards careful adjustment. The closer the alignment, the more efficiently the Delta-4 can harvest energy.

Successful alignments provide a tangible gameplay benefit by increasing power generation, helping players stabilize critical ship systems and extend the life of the vessel.

Because every watt matters aboard a dying spacecraft, maximizing solar efficiency can make a significant difference in your survival.

📡 Live Telemetry Status Feed

Another major addition will be the new Telemetry Status Feed located at the bottom of the screen.

This system continuously reports the health of key ship functions, providing a real-time window into the condition of the Delta-4.

The feed updates dynamically as events occur and can display information such as:

  • Power generation levels

  • Oxygen reserves

  • Hull integrity

  • Water reserves

The goal is to make the ship feel more alive and reactive while giving players immediate feedback about the consequences of their actions.

Whether you've just restored power to a subsystem, aligned the solar arrays, or accidentally made things worse, the telemetry feed will keep you informed every step of the way.

🔍 Looking Ahead

As we continue preparing for Steam Next Fest, our focus remains on expanding immersion, improving the terminal experience, and deepening the mystery surrounding the Delta-4.

Beneath the ship's failing systems lies a much larger story involving Cyberstate Systems, artificial intelligence, and humanity's final chance for survival. The truth is scattered throughout the ship's terminals, logs, and forgotten systems, waiting to be discovered by those willing to dig deep enough.

Thank you to everyone who has followed development so far. We can't wait to see players begin their journey aboard the Delta-4 during Steam Next Fest.

See you in the terminal. The truth is still in the logs. 🚀💻
