Delta-4 Testplay Demo — Development Update
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has participated in the Delta-4 playtest so far. Your testing, feedback, and bug reports continue to directly shape the direction of the project. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for the support from this community. We know Delta-4 is a niche experience, and the passion, patience, and encouragement from our playtesters has been incredible. Your support has meant more to this project than we can properly put into words.
A Major Milestone
We’ve officially crossed an important threshold: 🎉 Delta-4 has now reached six months of active development.
This marks a big turning point for the project. We've come a long way from the below screenshot from back in July 2025 :D:
Engine Status
The core game engine is now mostly complete. This includes the underlying systems that power terminals, subsystems, save/load behavior, authentication, and state management across the ship.
With this foundation in place, future development will increasingly shift away from backend architecture and toward:
Gameplay depth
Player-facing systems
Narrative and challenge design
What’s Next
A new playtest version has been uploaded. Unfortunatley old save games will not work so any progress will have to be reset with the new playtest update. We are getting very close to a playable demo so, to our playtest community, please put it thru its paces and let us know how you like the latest updates!
We’re currently working on a development timeline that outlines upcoming milestones and feature phases. Once it’s finalized, it will be shared with the community so you can see where Delta-4 is headed.
Recent Additions
This update also includes several quality-of-life and usability improvements:
Save Game Timestamps Save files now display timestamps, making it easier to identify your most recent progress.
New Main Menu The main menu has been refreshed and now includes gameplay tips to help new and returning players get oriented.
Audio Settings Music and sound settings have been added, allowing players to adjust audio levels to their preference.
Thank You
Reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the playtest community. Your continued involvement is helping turn Delta-4 into a more polished, stable, and engaging experience with each iteration.
More updates are coming soon as gameplay development ramps up. As always, thank you for testing Delta-4 and being part of its journey.
