Wow, that's amazing! Truly, incredibly amazing. Thank you all for the emotions and the support. None of this would have been possible or even meaningful without you. Any creative project is never made just for itself, but always for the people who connect with it.
When we were preparing to announce Deep Pixel Melancholy, our plan was something like: “Well, it would be great to hit a thousand wishlists in a couple of weeks, maybe a bit longer, and if we reach seven thousand by release, we’ll be over the moon.”
But then we hit over 1,000 wishlists in two days, 3,000 in two weeks, 7,700 in a month, and 10,000 in a month and a half.
And now, four and a half months later (exactly 140 days!), we’ve reached 15,000. That number alone gives us vertigo. The whole team is beyond happy and allows itself a little pride.
Of course we’re not stopping here. We’ll keep growing the Deep Pixel Melancholy community and spreading the word so more people can discover us. But more importantly, we’re keeping up the development pace. In about a month we’ll share more details about the project’s current stage and announce a more specific release window. Our earlier plan still stands, we’re aiming to release the game this winter.
So see you soon, and don’t forget to look beyond the horizon <3
