DeckLand Update Notice

Hello, this is the DeckLand development team.

We sincerely apologize for the delay.

We were trying to reduce loading times by tweaking the core code, but this caused numerous errors to pop up in various places, and we’ve been working hard to fix them all, which is why the update is late!!

In this build, we’ve made overall adjustments focused on card purchase costs, cards appearing in the shop, reward card compositions, and boss battle balance. In particular, the card pool available in the shop has changed significantly, and the gold costs for some powerful cards have been adjusted.

Card Gold Cost Adjustments

The gold costs required to purchase cards in the shop have been changed for many cards.

Mana costs used during combat have not been changed.

The prices of powerful attack cards, artifact equipment, sword technique cards, and late-game growth cards have generally increased.

Examples of major changes are as follows:

Bloodsucking: 12 Gold -> 16 Gold

One-Hit Kill: 20 Gold -> 36 Gold

Ghost's Hand: 25 Gold -> 36 Gold

Reaper's Slaughter: 18 Gold -> 36 Gold

King's Ring: 22 Gold -> 46 Gold

Sword of the Wind: 9 Gold -> 46 Gold

Fire Explosion: 22 Gold -> 36 Gold

Blade of Death: 23 Gold -> 36 Gold

Jar of Solitude: 20 Gold -> 36 Gold

Sword of Reverence, Sword of the Dragon Forge, Sword of the Dragon Spring: 20 Gold -> 46 Gold

Fan of the Thunder God, Fan of the Flame Emperor, Fan of Solitude: 28 Gold -> 46 Gold

Sea Wave Sword Technique, Heaven and Earth Sword Technique, Transcendence Sword Technique: 15 Gold -> 36 Gold

Sunlight Sword Technique: 25 Gold -> 36 Gold

Shadow Sword Technique, Crescent Moon Sword Technique, Sunline Sword Technique: 30 Gold -> 36 Gold

Conversely, some early-game cards and common equipment have been slightly adjusted to make the price differences based on card tier and performance more distinct.

Shop Card Pool Overhaul

The pool of cards that can appear in the shop has been significantly expanded.

Previously, the shop was composed mainly of a limited set of cards, often resulting in similar cards appearing repeatedly. Starting with this update, the number of candidate cards for the shop has increased dramatically, allowing players to experiment with a wider variety of builds.

With this change, the shop has been adjusted to offer a broader range of options tailored to your current deck situation, rather than a structure where you repeatedly target specific cards.

Significant Reduction in Common Card Appearance Cost: 7 → 2 / Rare Appearance Rate: 3–5 / Epic Appearance Rate: 1–2 / Legendary Appearance Rate: 50%

There is a chance for discounted talismans to appear.

Reward Card Adjustments

The composition and appearance rates of some reward cards have been adjusted.

Soulstones have been removed from some Treasure Chest rewards.

This adjustment is intended to reduce the frequency with which certain growth cards appeared too often in early-to-mid-game rewards.

In mission rewards, the appearance rate of some Sword Arts, Fire, and Lightning-type cards has been lowered.

The appearance rate of Haerang Sword Arts, Geon-gon Sword Arts, and Tal-myeong Sword Arts in the early-to-mid-game has been significantly reduced.

The appearance rate of some rewards for Balhwa-yeom Arts, Janhwa-yeom Arts, and Jaetbit-yeom Arts has been lowered.

The appearance rate of certain Lightning and Thunder cards in rewards has been reduced.

Burn cards have been removed from some Fire reward pools.

Additionally, the NPC reward images have been replaced with exclusive images specific to each element, making it easier to distinguish which NPC provides which rewards.

Boss Battle Balance Adjustments

The HP of certain bosses has been reduced.

Heart of the Water Spirit: 5000 -> 4000

Steel Beast: 5000 -> 4500

These adjustments were made to reduce the burden of excessively long battle durations in both fights and to make the boss patterns and the need to respond to their routines feel more distinct.

Boss Mechanics Improvements

Boss mechanics have been introduced. (Elite or boss monsters will have mechanics applied to make them more challenging to defeat.)

The Tiger will have a mechanic applied that affects the flow of the turn once it accumulates a certain amount of damage.

Gwisusan now gradually reduces the damage it takes after the first hit, and a “Bacterial Proliferation” card is added whenever it is hit.

Gangcheoli adds an “Ashes” card to the player's hand whenever it takes significant damage.

Heukrangpa now has a mechanic where minions revive after being defeated, or the boss regains health while minions are alive.

New Cards Added

New cards have been added.

Ashes: A card that destroys one talisman from your hand.

Princess Odd-Slot Attack: A card representing the odd-slot attack pattern used in Princess battles.

Oath of the Pack: Used as the minion resurrection rule in Black Wolf Clan battles.

Dignity of the Leader: Used as the boss recovery rule in Black Wolf Clan battles.

Other Improvements and Fixes

Fixed an issue where cards with no mana cost could not be used normally even when mana was at 0.

Adjusted Lang’s maximum mana so that it does not drop below 1 under certain circumstances.

Improved the visual effects for Curse, Bacterial Proliferation, and Ashes cards. Modified the process of cards entering the deck or being destroyed to look more natural.

Fixed an issue where Signature cards were appearing in duplicate in the hand.

Fixed an issue where warning tiles or reservation markers remained after combat.

This update is a build that reorganizes the options regarding which cards you encounter in the Shop and Rewards, and how to use Gold to purchase them. We will continue to adjust card values and boss battle difficulty based on actual gameplay flow.
