Repeated intro
Hey everyone,

- Balance
I’ve been hard at work on Deck of Stabs, and I wanted to share a quick update on where things are headed.
Demo Relaunch Incoming
A new and improved demo is on the way! My goal is to have it ready for Steam Deckbuilders Fest (May 4–11). I’m pushing hard to hit that window—but if I miss it, the relaunch will follow shortly after.
While I’d love to say the full game will be ready then, I want to keep expectations realistic: 👉 The demo relaunch is what I can promise right now. The full version will of course follow in the weeks after that but just, no definitive timeline yet.
What’s New?
There have been major updates across the board, including:
Significant engine improvements
Refined and expanded gameplay systems
New mechanics and features
Ongoing work finalizing classes, cards, and enemies
The game is evolving fast, and it’s in a much stronger place than before.
A Tough Call
On a slightly sad note, I’ve made the decision to pause development on the Zerker class.
This wasn’t an easy choice, but it’s the right one for both gameplay balance and development focus right now. The good news: 👉 I’d love to revisit it post-launch, potentially as part of a free update down the line.
More Soon
There’s a lot more to show, and I’ll be sharing details as we get closer to the demo relaunch.
Thanks for sticking with me—excited for you to see what’s coming.
