Dead Reckoning — Demo Hotfix (v0.2.87)

A quick patch for issues reported on the forums this week, led by a fix to colony establishment. Thanks to everyone who wrote these up — the detailed landing reports made the first one easy to track down.

Fixes

  • Establishing a colony no longer skips the colony. On some landings the mission clock could keep advancing during the founding sequence — most easily on WATCH or auto-advance — which dropped you back into ship decisions and an early ending instead of the settlement you had just landed. The clock now stays locked through the entire founding sequence, so making landfall always opens the colony phase.

  • Navigation reflects the outbound voyage. Worlds within about ten light-years of the Solar System now read as barren — there are no habitable worlds waiting right next door to Earth — and turning the ship back toward the Solar System now costs real transit time and crew confidence instead of being a free course change.

  • Settled-colony endings read correctly. Corrected ending text that could describe the wrong kind of world, an ending that contradicted itself about an uploaded crew, and a grammar slip when a single colonist was the last survivor.

Keep the reports coming — they're shaping the run-up to the June 25 release.
