Dead Reckoning: The Long Drift changes
An end game calc fix plus a few writing fixes. Thank you for the reports.
New
The colony's year-100 population now reflects its century. The settled end screen used to show your landing headcount, fixed no matter the world or your choices. It now projects the population across the hundred years the screen describes, from the world's habitability and type and the drift your society carried down to the surface. A generous world grows the colony toward what it can hold; a marginal or sealed one contracts it. The outcome tier (Outpost, Foothold, Colony, Settlement, and so on) is read from that figure, so where you landed and how you governed finally shows in how the colony ends. (Indus)
Fixes
The crew's formal probe demand now asks for another probe, not a second one. The ship already launches with a two-slot bay, so the petition reads as one more slot beyond what you carry. (Tygre)
The Engineering Guild's negotiated-charter outcome now reads as the guild's prediction of the next five years rather than stating a future as settled fact. And a year-100 colony account no longer tells a colony that grew that its numbers had dwindled. (Tygre)
Localization
The changed and new lines are translated into German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
