Darkest Messia changes
We’re introducing a new regular format — our monthly development updates, released on the first day of each month.
This past month marked an important milestone for us: we released the prologue of Darkest Messia, where players can experience the core mechanics, the beginning of the story, and the foundations of the world.
While exploring the cave known as the Temple of the Inquisitor’s Haven, you were able to uncover how this world begins to unfold.
Prologue Improvements
Throughout the month, we focused on:
Fixing major bugs in the prologue
Improving overall stability and player experience
Open World Development
We have now actively shifted our focus to the open world:
Expanding character systems
Adding 50+ NPCs you will be able to:
Discover across the world
Recruit into your settlement
Assign roles within your growing community
New Systems & Features
Enhancing the building system with weight and gravity mechanics
Creating new environmental assets
Designing new creatures
Meet a New Enemy — The Forgotten
Introducing The Forgotten — once defenders of these lands who fought until their final breath.
But even death did not grant them peace.
Darkness binds their consciousness to their bodies, controlling their actions while traces of their former selves remain. Some say these lost souls have been seen weeping moments before they strike.
Put an end to their suffering as you explore the world of Darkest Messia.
Expanding the World
17 unique settlements are already created
A major city and the central monastery are currently in development
Find them. Explore them. You may not be alone there.
And One More Thing...
We have stepped into the open world with a purpose — to find someone connected to our past.
This person is already waiting for you in Darkest Messia.
