Danmo Three Kingdoms: Battle of Wits changes
Welcome, Newly Appointed Strategist! Before you delve into the battlefield and command your forces, please review the following Q&A regarding game operation and basic settings to ensure a smooth start to your campaign.
✦ Operation & Account ✦
Q: What systems does the game support? What are the system requirements?
A: The game currently only supports Windows 10 and above, 64-bit operating systems. Minimum Configuration Reference:
Processor: Intel Core i3
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 960 (4GB)
Q: Is the game single-player or online? Does it support Steam Cloud Saves?
A: This is a single-player, buy-to-play game that also features an online multiplayer mode. It supports offline play, but the online mode is unavailable while offline. The game supports both Steam Cloud Saves and local saves; players can choose their preferred method.
Q: If I change computers or reinstall the system, will my save data still be there?
A: The game supports Steam Cloud Saves. If you have this feature enabled, your save data will not be lost after changing devices or reinstalling the system.
✦ Core Gameplay ✦
Q: What is the game's objective? How do I win?
A: Your objective is clear! At the start of each match, first pay attention to the 【Objective】 on the left side of the interface. Achieving it leads to victory. Additionally, the game has a turn limit. If no one achieves the objective when the turns run out, the faction with the highest total tax revenue wins directly!
Q: How do I move and engage in combat?
A: The controls are intuitive! Drag your pieces to adjacent squares to move. Combat triggers automatically when you move onto a square occupied by an enemy piece.
Basic Rule: The side with higher Combat Power wins.
Advanced Tip: Make good use of Unit Type Counters (Cavalry > Infantry > Archers > Cavalry), General Skills, and Tactics Cards to overcome stronger foes and triumph against the odds!
Q: What is "Action Order"? Why do my troops sometimes act later?
A: This is a key mechanic! After issuing all movement orders for your troops, click 【End Command】 to enter the Action Phase.
Action order is determined by the total Combat Power of the moving units.
The lower the total CP, the earlier they act!
By leveraging this rule, you can deploy low-power units to wear down the enemy before sending in high-power squads to finish them off, effectively creating a "war of attrition" effect.
Q: What's the advantage of grouping units of the same type together?
A: A significant advantage! This is called 【Combined March】. Moving pieces of the same unit type to the same square merges them into a single force with higher total Combat Power that moves and fights together. This is key to concentrating on superior force.
Q: What happens if I lose a battle? Do pieces die permanently?
A: No permanent death! As long as your castles are not all captured, defeated generals will regroup at your castles after 2 rounds, ready to deploy again. No Permanent Death!
✦ Strategy & Tips ✦
Q: What are the specific effects of Unit Type Counters?
A: The counter relationship is Cavalry > Infantry > Archers > Cavalry.
Offensive Counter: When your piece attacks a countered enemy, it inflicts double Combat Strength consumption (e.g., the enemy loses 2 points of power).
Defensive Counter: When your piece is attacked by a countering unit type, it can completely block the damage from that attack (no Strength loss).
Q: How do I use "Tactics Cards"? What are the restrictions?
A: Tactics Cards are key to turning the tide of battle! Click the 【Tactics】 button at the bottom of the interface to use one. The activation order also follows the "Lower Power First" rule.
Only 1 Tactics Card can be used globally per round.
Each Tactics Card can be used only once per battle.
The activation order also follows the Lower Power First rule.
Q: How do I restore a piece's Combat Power?
A: Select a piece that hasn't been defeated while it is standing on a 【Castle】 and click the 【Return】 button on the right. The piece will withdraw and recover all its Combat Power, but must skip actions for one round. After that, it can be dragged out of the main castle again.
Q: How do I send troops from the same square to attack in different directions?
A: This requires the 【Split Forces】 function. Select a square containing multiple pieces. In the piece list below, drag different 【Light Dots】 to different directions to dispatch separate squads. (See the in-game tutorial video for details.)
Q: What is the "Administrative Phase"? What should I do?
A: Every January and July, a special Administrative Phase begins.
Form Alliances: You can form alliances with other factions. Allied forces do not fight when they meet and can share the effects of terrain squares.
Reinforcements: You can reinforce Generals (permanently +1 Combat Power) and Castles. The number of reinforcement opportunities and funds is directly related to the number of special terrain squares you occupy. Additionally, a general's reinforcement limit is closely tied to their intrinsic level outside the match. So, work hard to expand your territory!(Lv1/2,Lv2~3/3,Lv4~5/4,Lv6~7/5,Lv8~9/6)
