Game Updated to Version 1.1.2p

Update 1.1.2p I just updated the game again. This time, I have added an option to restore the old, lerping camera. I actually like the way the old camera moves, but a lot of players requested that it move differently.

changedMouse UpdateSince its inception I have heard complains about the game's weird mouse movement issues. A player recommended having an option to turn off any attempt to alter the mouse speed, and it made perfect sense to me. So much sense that I wondered why I would not have done it before. Well I was surprised to find out that I actually did do this, and it is the "Windows Mouse" option in the options panel.
addedMouse UpdateIMPORTANT: You need to run the new version of the game and open, and apply the options panel before attempting this. This will rewrite the options file, and include the Max FPS options.
addedMouse UpdateSo, in the game's options file, you can now set the maximum framerate of the game manually. To do this, go to: "C:\\Users\\-Your Username-\\AppData\\Local\\Cyclopean" and open the "Options_7.cfg"
changedMouse UpdateAt the bottom of that file there is an entry: MAX FPS,60
changedMouse UpdateChange it to: MAX FPS,120

Mouse Update

Since its inception I have heard complains about the game's weird mouse movement issues. A player recommended having an option to turn off any attempt to alter the mouse speed, and it made perfect sense to me. So much sense that I wondered why I would not have done it before. Well I was surprised to find out that I actually did do this, and it is the "Windows Mouse" option in the options panel.

Windows Mouse simply sets the game's mouse pointer exactly where your Windows Mouse pointer is currently positioned. It does not speed up or slow down the mouse at all.

However, before you protest, there was still a difference. That difference was the framerate. The game is set to run at 60fps. It occurred to me that this may (and probably is) responsible for the floaty feeling players are having with their mouse.

IMPORTANT: You need to run the new version of the game and open, and apply the options panel before attempting this. This will rewrite the options file, and include the Max FPS options.

So, in the game's options file, you can now set the maximum framerate of the game manually. To do this, go to: "C:\\Users\\-Your Username-\\AppData\\Local\\Cyclopean" and open the "Options_7.cfg"

At the bottom of that file there is an entry: MAX FPS,60

Change it to: MAX FPS,120

(or something reasonable) and save the file. You should notice, when you next run the game, that your mouse pointer should update more quickly, and feel smoother.

I'm hope this update resolves the issues with the mouse that some players are experience. In any case, if it doesn't, let me know and I will keep trying!

Restoring Old Camera

In the same file mentioned above you will find another entry.

Change:

OLD CAMERA,0

to

OLD CAMERA,1

This will restore the old, lerping camera. Enjoy!

Torch Sound

If you had a torch burning, then loaded a saved game in which the torch was not burning, the torch sound would still be audible. I believe this is resolved.

Rename Crash

Trying to rename your saved game would crash the game. It used to work, so I figured out which recent change effected this, and was able to get it to work again. Sorry about any inconvenience!
