Introducing the first playable BREAKER: Ella Golston
When the robots turned on humans, those who escaped captivity were the ones who noticed an anomaly; that for some unknown reason the robots were taking turns much like in a game, and if we're playing a game then its only to get to fight back. Therefor, taking her trusty controller-sword from the hit VR game 'Online Sword-Arts' Ella was amongst the first to take the rules of this new game into their own hands.
Ella's play style focuses on a unique resource: Gamma-Charge. By using the move and discard actions she builds up charge, then unleashes it on powerful cards.
Whilst this may seem daunting at first, her most core playstyle starts relatively simple:
First build up charge via the above basic actions, Then unleash it all on that one super card.
| Steam post image | Gamma-BladeDeals damage to bots in your lane equal to gamma-charge, consuming all charge |
|---|
Ready for more advanced techniques? Then take control of your Gamma-Usage by adding in new cards to further utilise this valuable resource.
| Steam post image | Power CutConsumes 1 gamma-charge to lower cost of adjacent cards by 1 until they leave the hand |
|---|
| Steam post image | OverchargeGain 2 gamma-charge, and shoot once for 2 damage if excess charge is gained, can only be used if gamma-charge is not full |
|---|
| Steam post image | Powered SlashConsumes 1 gamma-charge to deal 3 damage in target column, Consumes 2 charge for ranges 3-4 and 3 charge for ranges 5-6 |
|---|
And of course this is not all, Each BREAKER has access to 15 unique cards which can be mixed and matched alongside a larger pool of standard cards for a variety of builds and potential playstyles.
Next week we'll cover a new character, and a first look at content that'll be available in the full game.
