addedWith update 1.1.6, we have overhauled how the original delivery system works in almost every aspect. It is no longer a weird system shoved to the side; it now integrates with your normal orders. The biggest advantage of combining these is that employees can now make drinks for delivery orders.
changedFor those who have already unlocked delivery, you will now need to purchase a delivery counter and paper bags. All delivery orders need to be packed into a paper bag before they can be delivered to the customer.
addedOn top of this, there is a new employee subtype that you can choose: the courier. Couriers are the only employees that are capable of taking a delivery order and taking it to its destination.
addedAnother change you will notice with the new delivery system is that you no longer need a delivery phone. Just by setting up the counter, you will automatically receive online delivery orders. The catch is that they take 5% of the total order cost. It is also possible to adjust the flow of online orders by increasing the amount you charge for delivery.
addedAlongside the delivery changes, we have also made a significant overhaul of our orders interface again. We have tried to reduce the amount of central screen space being consumed by the interface while also making it easier to handle multiple orders at once. With this new interface, you can pin up to two orders at any time. You can jump your selection to your pinned orders by pressing P (Default key). You will also find a wealth of other changes and fixes within this update, such as the new table numbers, plain rug style, and more.

Update 1.1.6 Patch Notes

  • [REWRITE] Completely rewrote the way delivery orders work within the game. This is a pretty significant change, and the system works very differently from before.

Delivery orders now need to be packed into a paper bag before they can be delivered. Courier NPCs can take them from the delivery counter to their customer.

Orders can come via phone or by the tablet included with the delivery counter. Increasing the delivery cost slows down deliveries if you would prefer to earn more per order.

  • [OVERHAUL] Change up the core order interface again to reduce its vertical space consumption and improve support for working on two. Orders you pin/claim will now appear on the left. Pressing "P" (Default key) will jump you between your pinned orders.

  • [NEW] Added a new syrup bottle holder. This allows you to keep all those syrup bottles more organized

  • [NEW] Added table numbers. Place these down on tables to make it easier to find where your order needs to go.

  • [NEW] Added a new plain rug style that can be coloured to whatever you like.

  • [NEW] Cash for Clutter NPC will now also buy other pieces from your ship such as mugs, display trays and more. Let us know if anything is sellable when it shouldn't be, or not sellable when it should be.

  • [UPDATED] Improved the weather and time widgets styling to better suit our other improvements. This also exposes some data that we had going on behind the scenes but wasn't presented to the user. The plan is to begin expanding on seasons and the day of the week shortly.

  • [UPDATED] Main menu bug report link will now auto-fill certain information such as build type.

  • [UPDATED] Changed up the styling of the bottom widget to showcase the season and current temperature. These will become more relevant in future updates

  • [FIX] Top of the single door frames will no longer show the wrong material

  • [FIX] Hardened the ice cream freezer to prevent issues where you can't pack it up as it thinks it has a ghost ice cream in it

  • [CHANGE] Storyteller NPCs will no longer lock up the queue; instead, they won't start their speech bubble until they are sitting down

  • [FIX] Corrected the wall hangers showing 8 cups instead of 6 on their purchase page

  • [FIX] Implemented hardening on the milk jug to ensure froth sessions are properly stopped.

  • [FIX] Corrected wall-mounted mugs being significantly cheaper than intended.

  • [FIX] Make it clearer what you are claiming when you claim an order. Previously, you could claim an order but only end up with the food part of that order

  • [CHANGE] Removed the 4-second timer before an NPC would claim an order. This wasn't entirely accurate and would trigger as soon as an order was taken at the checkout, so the 4 seconds was only really useful at the very start of a day. If this is problematic, we will work in a new solution.

  • [FIX] Added additional protections to prevent users from being able to throw out trays

  • [CHANGE] Significantly increased the number of items that can be thrown into the garbage bin

  • [CHANGE] You can physically throw your items into the lift bin now if you want.

  • [FIX] Employees will now clean up empty coffee bags as part of their clean-up routines.

  • [FIX] Homepage now shows the number of employees you can hire correctly rather than the number of employees you have on duty.

  • [FIX] Corrected an issue where some customers' speech bubbles could appear way above their heads

  • [FIX] The top of the single door frames will no longer show the wrong material.

  • [FIX] Corrected an issue that could occur in our animator that would lead NPCs to be stuck holding items such as an umbrella.

  • [FIX] Added extra hardening to ensure you shouldn't get stuck in a store late at night.
