fixedFirst of all, we would like to sincerely apologize to our players using the non-Japanese versions of the game. There was a critical bug during the "Tavern Debt Collection (Errand)" section of the tutorial where the action menu did not highlight correctly, resulting in a soft-lock that prevented further progress. Additionally, we found an issue where taking certain actions after completing the tutorial would mistakenly force you back into it. #[v0.92] Enhanced Multilingual Support, Major Bug Fixes & System Improvements

Greetings, everyone! We have just released the latest update (v0.92) for Crown & Coin: The Hundred Years.

First of all, we would like to sincerely apologize to our players using the non-Japanese versions of the game. We have completely fixed these progression-blocking bugs in this version. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused.

The main highlight of this update is the"Comprehensive Enhancement of Multilingual Support."We have improved and supplemented the translations across all 18 supported languages for UI elements, event texts, and newly implemented system messages. You can now enjoy a more natural and immersive experience in your preferred language!

Furthermore, based on your valuable feedback, we have squashed several critical bugs and made numerous system improvements to make Lord and Outlaw (Pirate/Bandit) playthroughs much more enjoyable and deeper.

Here are the main update details:

👑 Castellan & Lord System Expansions

We have revamped the system to make your medieval power struggles and rise to glory smoother and more dramatic.

  • "Relocate" Feature Added: If you control multiple territories (castles), you can now use the Personnel menu to"Move yourself to another of your owned castles."This allows you to freely shift your headquarters to the front lines or to a safe rear position.

  • Declaration of Independence (Usurpation): When your status (Rank/EID) surpasses that of your current superior, you will now be presented with an option to"Dissolve the lord-vassal relationship and become a direct vassal to the King (Independent)."

  • Protection of Castellan AuthorityFixed an issue where you would be forcibly sent back to the capital if you were serving as a Castellan and your superior lost their position (due to death, defection, etc.). You can now maintain your rule over the castle and act as an independent Castellan.
  • Options for Home Castle Defense: When an enemy army invades your main castle, you are no longer forced straight into the battle preparation screen. You can now choose to"Fight personally"or"Leave it to the army (subordinates)."This allows for a playstyle where you focus purely on domestic affairs and command from the rear.

  • Territory & Castle Data CleanupFixed a data bug where the ownership and personnel data of your previous castle were left hanging when you were granted a new castle or promoted.

🏘️ Town Building & Pioneer System Fixes

  • Player-Founded City Affiliation Bug FixedFixed a critical bug where towns built from scratch on empty land using the player's own funds (Lv1 Pioneering) were not correctly recognized as player territory. Towns you build will now function as "your territory" regardless of whether you defect or rebel.
  • Ruined Village Pioneering Bug FixedFixed an issue where executing "Build a Village" on land burned by a raid or on empty land would consume your florins but fail to build the village (reverting to empty land upon reload).
  • Town/Castle Upgrade Cap FixedFixed a bug where towns that reached the maximum level (Lv5) could still be upgraded, wasting your funds. It will now correctly display as "MAX."

🏴‍☠️ Pirate & Outlaw Gameplay Improvements

  • "Raid Merchant Ship" Reward Buff & Time Progression FixFixed a bug where in-game time did not pass when the Pirate Boss executed the "Raid Merchant Ship" command. Additionally, because the rewards did not match the risks, we have significantly increased the payout to an average of 200 florins . The profitability of playing as a pirate has greatly improved!
  • Sailing Skill Learning Bug FixedFixed an issue where learning the Sailing skill at the sailor's base did not correctly reflect the skill level on the profile screen.
  • Pirate/Bandit Gang Name Display Bug FixedFixed a display bug where the gang name was not showing correctly on the profile screen, and the "〇〇 Pirates" label was being mistakenly applied to unrelated NPCs.

🛠️ Usability & UI Enhancements

  • "Shift Key" Bulk Operations & Right-Click Cancel: When inputting numbers (e.g., organizing troops or buying/selling items), you can now Hold the Shift key and click (or hold) to rapidly increase/decrease the amount by ±10 (or by a multiplier). Additionally, many menu screens now support Right-click to cancel (close).

  • WASD Map Movement: You can now use the W, A, S, D keys to pan across the world map, in addition to the arrow keys.

  • UI Icon & Design OverhaulThe menu icons in the bottom right of the world map (Inventory, Territory, Settings) have been replaced with new designs that better fit the game's atmosphere. Also, the "Edit" button on the profile screen has been changed to a more intuitive quill and scroll design.
  • Portrait Display ImprovedFixed an issue where non-square character portraits had visible gaps inside their frames on the status panel. They will now be beautifully cropped (object-fit: cover) to fill the frame seamlessly.
  • Added hints about the new WASD and Shift key controls to the Tavern Owner's "Tips (Chat)."

🐛 Other Bug Fixes & Balance Adjustments

  • [Critical] Infinite Florin Exploit FixedFixed a bug at the Merchant Guild where trying to sell your last equipped weapon would keep the weapon in your inventory while infinitely adding to your total sale amount.
  • [Critical] Infinite Advance Payment Exploit FixedFixed a bug where you could infinitely receive advance payments by repeatedly accepting a Tavern "Errand" quest in different towns.
  • Fixed a bug where crafted medicines or gifted items would disappear from the inventory if a specific action, such as a "Council Summons," occurred immediately afterward.

  • Fixed a bug in the early game (e.g., during the tutorial) where slightly offsetting the cursor allowed players to enter restricted cities (like Bordeaux), breaking the story progression.

  • Fixed an issue where a character demoted from noble to commoner (e.g., becoming a bandit) did not have their territory ownership properly reset (cleared), causing them to still appear as a Lord.

  • Fixed a bug during the tutorial where re-entering the recently burned town of Beausoleil would result in a pitch-black screen missing its background image.

  • Fixed a bug where the ruins marker of Beausoleil and its connected roads would completely disappear from the world map after the tutorial (it will now correctly display as scorched ruins).

  • Fixed a soft-lock where receiving a council summons while "Training (Studying)" at an NPC's house caused menu screens to overlap, halting game progress.

  • Fixed multiple complex bugs when enlisting from a free state (being assigned to the wrong superior, affection resetting, tutorial reactivating, etc.).

  • Fixed a bug where clicking the gap (margin) between choice buttons during a recruitment speech would accidentally cancel the speech.

  • Fixed a bug where renaming a character during a playthrough would leave the old name displayed in the Tavern's "Debt Collection" quest descriptions and target names.

  • Fixed a bug on the character status screen where cross-origin error text would expose itself under certain environments, leaving skills and biographies blank.

  • Adjusted the number of enemy troops in the Siege of Rennes (Defenders), as the difficulty was unreasonably high.

Thank you so much for the massive amount of feedback and bug reports you've sent our way! Thanks to your reports, we were able to solidify the core mechanics of the game and provide a much smoother playing environment.

Please continue to support Crown & Coin: The Hundred Years!
