1.3 Update is Here!
Movement Overhaul, Better Temples, More Details.
Hello Everyone!
This is a massive update this time, loads of new content has been added. There's overhauled movement mechanics, new blocks, overhauled temples, and grapple hooks!
You can also now actually crawl in the game called "Crawl to the Depths". About time! Why didn't I call the game "Call to the Depths" by the way, isn't that a lot cooler sounding? I have no idea. Beats me. Oh well, can't change it now!
Anyway, onto the patch notes!
Patch Notes
Gameplay
Overhauled temple area to contain connected rooms instead of a flat grid.
Added "Interact" Key (F). Interacting with certain objects now requires you to interact with it instead of bumping into it.
Added grappling mechanic. Hold right click with your pickaxe to swing about!
Overhauled crouching mechanic (Shift). It's a lot less jank now, you can now walk alongside ledges and bridge with ease!
Added crawling mechanic (Control) allowing you to crawl into 1x1 tunnels. Yes, you can truly "Crawl to the Depths" now.
Added ability to swim / climb.
Rebound green ability to x
New vines, ladders, cacti, shrub, and grass blocks.
Added hanging vines in level 2
Updated tutorial to cover new movement mechanics
Visuals
Updated fog in level 1
Overhauled Foliage (New 2D Billboard Design)
Improved ability pickup design
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where you could collide with projectiles after they landed
Fixed a bug where projectiles would move when paused
Removed "Hero Brian"
This will probably (probably) be the last major update for the demo that I release, I think from this point onwards I will be focusing on releasing the full game.
