Repeated intro

Hey pilots,

What changed

0 fixes3 additions3 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • Maps
addedSince the previous build, we’ve introduced another round of improvements based on your feedback, our internal testing, and a few things we wanted to properly check before opening the game to more pilots.
addedNew controls
changedFirst map available in Free Fly Mode
changedReworked tutorial for smoother onboarding
changedOne of the addition in this round is Free Fly Mode . You’ll be able to jump into one of our maps without racing pressure, explore it at your own pace, practice flying, test movement, find your own routes, or simply mess around with friends. We dare you to try some synchronized flying ;)
addedWe’ve also reworked the tutorial so new players should have a much clearer first contact with Couch Planes. Since the next playtest will bring more pilots into the game, this is a very important part for us to test properly.

We’re getting closer to revealing the date for the bigger Couch Planes playtest, but before we invite more players aboard, we’d like to run one more closed round:

Couch Planes Playtest 2.2

This session is open to returning playtesters who already had access before, along with selected creators.

Since the previous build, we’ve introduced another round of improvements based on your feedback, our internal testing, and a few things we wanted to properly check before opening the game to more pilots.

Here’s what we’d especially like you to try this time:

  • New controls

  • Destructible elements

  • First map available in Free Fly Mode

  • Reworked tutorial for smoother onboarding

  • Additional fixes, tweaks, and polish based on previous feedback

One of the addition in this round is Free Fly Mode. You’ll be able to jump into one of our maps without racing pressure, explore it at your own pace, practice flying, test movement, find your own routes, or simply mess around with friends. We dare you to try some synchronized flying ;)

We’ve also reworked the tutorial so new players should have a much clearer first contact with Couch Planes. Since the next playtest will bring more pilots into the game, this is a very important part for us to test properly.

The goal of Playtest 2.2 is simple: we want to know how the latest version feels in your hands.

And most importantly:

Please fill out the survey after playing. Your answers really matter.

Playtest window: Saturday, July 4 — 11:00 AM CEST / 5:00 AM ET / 7:00 PM AEST until Sunday, July 12 — evening CEST

To everyone already approved: thank you again for helping us shape Couch Planes before the next big step.

To everyone still waiting for access: we’re not ignoring you. This round is intentionally smaller so we can check the latest changes first. The bigger playtest is getting closer.

Thanks again for flying with us, testing the limits, and helping us make the game better.

See you in the skies! ✈️💥
