Attention, Cosminers.
Before sending you to Tau Ceti F, we would like to introduce you to one of the most common threats on this planet: the Crunchid family. These creatures are the foundation of the local, hostile ecosystem and will be one of the first threats you will face during your mission. Understanding how Crunchids behave, where they appear, and what role they play is crucial to your survival and effective operation on the planet's surface. Steam post image
Crunchlet
Crunchlets are the smallest and most frequently encountered members of the Crunchid family. They usually appear in groups and are often the first sign that Crunchids are active in the area. Steam post image
Crunchman
They are a larger form of the previous species but, they use small tendrils to tear through and damage your base. They are also capable of burrowing and moving just beneath the surface, which often makes their attacks sudden and highly unpredictable. Their intimidating presence and aggressive behavior make close encounters especially dangerous. Steam post image
Crunchpinch
Resembling oversized Earth crustaceans, they won’t hesitate to use their sharp limbs to strike when threatened. Their intimidating presence and aggressive behavior make close encounters especially dangerous Steam post image
Crunchlord
They are larger and more advanced form of the previous species. They are rarely seen until they are already close and are distinguished by their increased strength and higher resistance to plasma gun, making them a serious threat in direct encounters. Steam post image
Crunchhulk
Crunchhulks are among the largest known non-royal Crunchids encountered in the field. Their dense, fleshy bodies absorb a significant amount of damage, requiring large amounts of ammunition to bring them down. Steam post image
Crunchmatron
Crunchmatrons are the largest known representatives of the Crunchid species. Acting as the brood mother, they scatter newly born offspring during base assaults, with each hatchling immediately ready to attack nearby Cosminers.
Steam post image Crunchids are not anomalies... They are the norm on Tau Ceti F. Successful operations depend on understanding their role in the ecosystem and planning accordingly.
