Gameplay
changedHello hello! I will be doing some updates and posts about how the game works. First up is Movement and States:
changedStatesCore Lords has two states, Exploration and Action. When in Exploration, movement is done through real-time navigation. But at almost any time you can jump into Action, which moves into a turn-based mode. Combat is done in the Action state as you might have guessed.
changedAction PointsCore Lords uses a shared Action Point system for ALL actions, including Action Movement. It does not use a separate “movement” resource.
changedMovementCore Lords uses the usual horizontal planes but also emphasizes verticality of levels to battle and solve puzzles. The arena you are fighting in will shift and change as rocks fall and form, buildings crumble and dangerous elements block your path.
changedMovementBecause of this, you are able to make some jumps across gaps and drop down jumps. Nothing crazy here.
changedMovementYou can also suspend Stonecores (blocks of stone) using your powers to make temporary or semi-permanent paths as well, but more on that later.
