Steam post image Hi Chefs, After a series of hotfixes, It's time for the PATCH #1. This one focuses on fixing some of the issues, improving clarity, and cleaning up a lot of smaller things across the game. As always, thank you for all the reports and feedback. It’s been a big help in figuring out what needed attention first.

UI & Quality of Life

We’ve made a few changes to make things clearer, especially around dish evaluation:

  • Added an extra button in the dish rating screen so it’s more obvious that you can open the detailed breakdown

  • Dish rating tiles now change color depending on the result → inedible dishes will now clearly show as red

  • Reworked how the progress bar works so it’s more consistent visually

  • Cleaned up and unified the texts in the dish evaluation screen

  • Replaced the infinity symbol in text with a proper icon

Gameplay & Systems

  • Fixed mixtures resetting after kitchen upgrades → bottles and mixtures should now keep their contents properly

  • Fixed issues with placing boxed ingredients on surfaces → this includes items like milk, stocks, passata, cream and similar

  • Fixed a bug that could cause ingredients to process way too fast → this could also lead to strange results with flavors and soup colors

  • Fixed the “Raw” tag appearing incorrectly on plated mixtures

  • Fixed chef belt slots not unlocking properly after kitchen upgrades

  • Adjusted fridge placement areas so items no longer appear to float

Sandbox / Relax Mode Updates

Some features previously available in sandbox/relax mode have been expanded and improved:

  • New sandbox options: → Infinite time to complete orders → Infinite duration of the day phase

  • Added the ability to skip phases at any time → You can now move to the next phase even in the middle of the current one → This option is also available in career mode

  • Added Extreme mode option → Keeps the restaurant constantly full for a more intense experience

Fixes & Technical

  • Fixed repair tab not opening in some cases

  • Fixed the wall fire extinguishing system

  • Fixed issue with refreshing the progression panel in the player’s apartment

  • Fixed an issue where disconnecting a controller during the day summary allowed access to settings, save, or load, and returning would incorrectly resume gameplay instead of the summary, causing a blocker

  • Fixed incorrect evaluation of seasoning amounts in dishes containing mixtures (e.g. salads) → This issue could also affect other values, but was mainly visible in the UI

  • Fixed incorrect thermal visualization for dishes containing deformable ingredients

  • Cleaned up a number of unnecessary memory allocations

  • General stability improvements

  • Additional fixes to animations and interactions

Visual Changes

  • Updated some product icons to better match their models (for example spring onion and romaine lettuce)

  • Fixed naming issues across a number of ingredient spawners

  • Cleaned up naming and consistency across many items (cheeses, meats, spices, vegetables, etc.)

  • Improved visuals for processing actions like blending, mixing, coating and mashing → added a wooden board icon and adjusted positioning

Recipe Adjustments

We’ve gone through a number of recipes that were causing confusion or incorrect ratings:

  • Fried Egg with Potatoes → removed the requirement to serve water after boiling potatoes

  • Currywurst → simplified the recipe and fixed incorrect evaluation

  • Pork Ribs → improved how seasoning works

  • Yellow Curry → fixed cases where the dish was marked as inedible → reworked the recipe and added blending

  • Green Curry → same issue as above, now fixed and updated

  • Rye Soup → adjusted processing time

  • Pepper Cream Soup → changed the order of adding ingredients

  • Potato Salad → fixed a raw ingredient issue that affected scoring

  • Vinaigrette Salad → fixed a similar raw ingredient issue

  • Plus a few smaller fixes to recipes involving mixtures

Other

  • Cleaned up a number of smaller issues across the game

  • General polish and consistency improvements

We’ll keep going through your reports and continue improving things step by step.

Thanks again for sticking with us and for all the feedback.

More updates coming soon. Big Cheese Studio
