Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together changes
Hi everyone,
Patch #6 is now live!
This update focuses on improving kitchen interactions, expanding GN container functionality, visual improvements, and a large number of fixes across gameplay, UI, multiplayer, and overall polish.
Thanks again for all the feedback and reports. Every update helps us continue improving Cooking Simulator 2 step by step.
GN Containers & New Interactions
We’ve expanded how you can work with GN containers and ingredients:
Added new GN container interactions:
Transfer ingredients from held containers into GN containers → Move a single ingredient or transfer all matching contents
Transfer ingredients from GN containers directly onto the grill plate
Transfer matching ingredients from containers into a held GN container → Press Q for one ingredient → Hold Q to transfer all matching ingredients
Added direct ingredient placement from spawners onto kitchen surfaces
These interactions work with:
Bowls
Pots
Pans
Sauce pans
Blender containers
Colanders
Fryer baskets
Visual Improvements & Asset Updates
We’ve updated a large number of ingredient and container assets:
Improved materials for spawners and GN containers • Updated shaders and removed old unused textures • Improved visual quality and consistency across ingredients • Added missing GN spawners for many ingredients
New and updated GN content includes:
Salami
Chorizo
White sausage
Beef ribs
Chicken breast
T-bone steak
Red snapper
Atlantic cod
Trout
Sweet onion
Romaine lettuce
Eggplant
Cauliflower

Added GN fillings for:

Also: • Fixed missing GN materials • Removed unused meshes and textures • Improved LODs for ingredient pieces
Character Customization
Added new customization options:
6 new earring sets for male and female characters
Kitchen & Gameplay Improvements
Added: • Separate Day Menu for each kitchen
Improved: • Mass transfer placement on connected surfaces • Ingredient placement behavior • Thermal state visibility across different UI elements
Changed: • Restored seitan configuration to previous setup
Fixes
Fixed many gameplay issues, including:
Ingredient stacks taking too much space • Ingredients not fitting correctly into GN containers • Draining full containers through colanders • Incorrect cut validation in dish scoring • Non-working pantry light switch • Incorrect gameplay hints appearing on progression UI • Customer bell prompts appearing during unavailable phases • Incorrect save thumbnail aspect ratios • Character thumbnail display issues • Multiplayer item position issues after saving/loading • Clients getting stuck in pause menu after teleporting home • Missing repair effects • Various mass transfer problems • Multiselect selecting held objects incorrectly • Search fields not clearing correctly in some menus • Dish information issues in the player apartment
Audio & Visual Polish
Improved: • Fridge sounds and item placement sounds • Frying audio behavior • Shelf sound effects • Portion scattering after creating mixtures • Main menu visuals and shadows
Fixed: • Missing quick repair effects • DLSS laptop screen flickering • Missing stove flames in multiplayer sessions • Incorrect sounds on some furniture objects

Fixed spice UI overflow issues • Fixed several perk-related issues • Improved box trash volume values • Improved ingredient thermal visualization • Fixed various animation and interaction issues
